My office is at home or out in the wilderness but I do know four of my neighbors are now working from home.

Yes. Until the government shuts me down or I get sick.

This is fucked up. I have been working 45+ hours a week at a new job for less than a month, and this BS is making us close our doors. We may get 12 hours a week, if they work out a few details. ☹️
I will get my first full check Wednesday, then it will be hardly anything after that. I'm trying to help my parents out, and this is screwed up.

We supply to Walmart, Costco and Sams club. We are maxed out this week for shipments and they are still trying to get more product out as they are running out. Actually Costco is hiring seasonal workers now for warehouse and truck drivers. It’s crazy busy. Until someone in our company gets sick and we’re shut down.

I have been seeing a lot of Now Hiring signs. It would be great if the companies benefitting from all of this could pass it along to those that aren’t

the craziness continues.
I just drove by costco in yorba linda, there is a line completely around the store and the parking lot is full, and the store doesn't even open for another hour. it appears the people are lining up hours in advance to get in

That cheesy line just came to mind "I'm hiring miss, how'd you like to be on my staff?" :-)

At work, but no one is working. Waiting to hear re: furloughs to avoid layoffs. Everyone shares a little bit of the pain and no one has to lose their job.

If you are out of work laid off due to covid, you can file unemployment and immediately receive benefits without the one week penalty. Of course if you havent been working for a while, it doesn’t help. They look at the last five quarters (throwing out your most recent) of your earnings to determine how much you get. But it’s worth a shot to apply.

Just got off marathon conference calls and skillfully averted any effort to have me leave my home to do anything!!!
