If you look at how fast this virus spreads I can see why they are doing all the closings. The data you are looking at is past data after everything was under control. The virus is it real time theres no way to know where the numbers will end up or even how long this will last. This virus could wipe out older people with impaired immune systems around the world.
The New York Stock Exchange is ending floor trading. Electronic trading will still continue but the guys on the floor will stop. A few traders tested positive for the virus.

I have read that gut health is the most important things to keep your immune system strong.

I am cautiously optimistic that a million people WON’T die this year in America from this, but I do go back and forth. In order for a million not to die, we’re going to need at least five months of case quarantining, school closures, and social distancing by everyone. Then we can let up for a little bit, but we would have to do case suppressive measures again, let up, and do suppressive measures again until we finally get the vaccine in a year to eighteen months. I think this is the most likely scenario at this point.

I believe the Imperial College modeling is based on 18 months of at the very least staggered shutdowns. The concept is the infection rates needs to be contained globally until a vaccine is in production and the entire population is vaccinated, again globally. That is estimated to take around 18 months.
