Never thought I would see the day casino's are closing. There is only entertainment from home now. I guess wirking from home if your a therapist or do online work will be the only forms of excitement left. I have gotten more requests for virtual sessions than before. Also I have seen more articles about models losing biz due to international travel being restricted. One article said that one model was losing one biz due to her favorite international biz traveler not being able to see her this month. I am glad that I also due healthcare as that is always an option for me to gain extra shifts in these times.

Got the notice this afternoon from the top dog in our company: work from home (all offices) until further notice.
Forgot to say that was mandatory and not to report to any office. Our office in the O.C. received the notice yesterday.

So what's the latest on Vegas?
The latest: Nevada has just secured top 5 in new COVID cases using info from the last three days averaged.
What else would you expect from opening casinos in Vegas?
Florida and Texas are obviously great role models on how to deal with Covid.
Congrats to Nevada!
They'll be well past herd immunity
While CA will still be listening to Hair Nuisance preach his idiocy

@luvblackchicks go ahead and change your username for me. Scum.

WettDrmzz, you have great boobs.

July 4th on a Saturday wont be seen again for a few years. Its a total bummer because I would be in LV this year for sure if the whole world hadn't turned upside down.
Wettdrmzz... you don’t think the protests impacted the COVID-19 transmission rate?
the protests probably did but shared space indoor activities like going to a casino probably had higher transmission rates than open air outdoor protests, even with social distancing.

Vegas will be busy as fuck this weekend. Not up to pre corona levels as hotels are allowed 50% capacity. I was at the Paris pool last weekend which was very busy and I told my friend that hadn't been to Vegas in 10 years that it was lighter than normal cuz of the 50% capacity rule and she was shocked that it could be busier.
Just opened Mandalay and Aria yesterday. Most of The Strip is open including restaurants, shopping malls and stores.
Still closed on The Strip are Park MGM, Planet Hollywood casino (shopping mall is open), Cromwell, Bally's and Mirage.
Wearing of masks is enforced in all casinos and public areas usually enforced by security at the door. If you don't have a mask they'll give you one. Even on the street the bulk of people are wearing masks.
Air and vehicle traffic is def busier than it has been.
If you're using Uber or Lyft be prepared for longer wait times, like 20 to 40 min and sometimes the Uber app says there are no cars available, as most of those drivers are still home collecting unemployment checks.

The Governor’s order did not affect SoCal casinos, only card clubs. The casinos remain open with full restaurant and bar service other than buffets and valet. Most of the spas are opening up at the casinos. The only game not open where I go is craps but it’s not real craps anyway.

juliuscesar...
Don't bash Texas.....they are doing far better than California.
Current numbers...
CA deaths 6090 with a population of 40 million...that is 15.22 deaths per 100,000
TX deaths 2481 with a population of 29.5 million...that is 8.4 deaths per 100,000
FL deaths 3617 with a population of 22 million....16.44 deaths per 100,000 but has the second highest percentage of people over 65 at 21% of their total population.
NY deaths 24,866 with a population of 19,8 million....125.59 deaths per 100,000
And given the huge numbers of old people in Florida...they are doing just slightly worse than CA and didn't do the extensive shut downs as CA.
Check your numbers before jumping to conclusions......
And lets throw Nevada in those calculations...
NV deaths 511 with a population of 3.06 million or 16.7 deaths per 100,000.
So not that much worse than CA. And Nevada has 15.7% of their population over 65, compared to CA 14.3%
So that 'terrible' Nevada isn't that much worse than CA, which has had some of the tightest lockdowns and protocols.....
Hail Caesar!
Don’t look now, Florida already passed 10k cases today.
Count the deaths...cases are immaterial due to testing hiccups and inconsistent testing from week to week.
If I test twice as many people this week, I will probably see twice as many positives...since so many people are asymptomatic.
ICU beds and deaths are what really matters.
"ICU beds and deaths are what really matters."
Hospitalizations and cases lead to ICU beds and deaths, and if that happens, you'll find some other way to rationalize it.
"If I test twice as many people this week, I will probably see twice as many positives..."
Positivity rate is number of positive tests divided by tests and is independent of the number of tests given. If you give double the number of tests, the rate will stay the same if the infection in the community is at steady state (staying the same).

Texas Governor just mandated wearing mask. It’s about time.

Those aren't "current" numbers. Those are overall tally numbers since March. The story on the ground is very different now. For example, New York is doing ok right now.
Look at positivity rate and hospitalizations. New cases are ok too.
A good website to follow how states are doing right now is the Johns Hopkins website. It shows the moving average number of new cases over the past 3 days. Link attached.
Those are CDC numbers and they are current as of now....I was making a comparison...same source.....for all states.
You cannot dispute the differences....New York sucks....Texas although their numbers are moving up a bit, kick the shit out of California and New York...you cannot deny that or maybe you are just trying to rationalize yourself....
Most of the data show numbers of tests and numbers of cases....the problem is people are NOT showing rates....the media jus quotes numbers...CNN with their total case tallies in the background of every news person...LOL.
Your link shows daily new cases.....case count is a function of testing.....not relative to anything unless you post rates...that is the bullshit numbers.....moves up or down as a function of people coming in for testing.....
"Your link shows daily new cases........that is the bullshit numbers....."
Not true. These numbers seem to be correlating well with increased demand for hospitalizations.
And cities in Texas are starting to see hospitals fill up with younger, sicker people. They are not at capacity yet, but doctors have already have had to make tough decisions about who gets the hospital bed and who doesn't.
No, Texas isn't doing all right, despite your numbers which carry information from 3 months ago.

Do I go to Vegas or see a HX lady?

I currently live in Vegas I’ll be out there tomorrow through the 4th! Lets have a fun and happy 4th🎉💥💥

I'm in Texas, Austin more specifically. Got stuck here when all hell broke loose and can't get back to California because if I do when I have to come back I'd have to 'self quarantine' for 2 weeks by state mandate. I can say that Houston and Austin are seeing a large spike in cases since the abbott opened the state and are the hot spots for now. A lot of younger people are catching it and I believe it's because the bars and clubs are now open and they're acting like things are back to 'normal'.
So Texas isn't really doing fine, not as bad as some other states but also worse than some others.
I also know a couple of people who got it or had a relative catch it back in march/april some are still having problems even though they've recovered from the virus itself.
