Hopefully the retards have ran out of money, so the hoarding can stop.

Our beaches are closed in the Carolinas.

Ralph's still has completely empty shelves and nobody is 6 ft apart, lol.
CVS, otoh, has put up a low table barrier at each check stand just to keep your ass far enough back.
Gelsons is so so
Albertsons is the most organized I've seen so far.
I went all over, people are out and about giving the finger to Gavin Nuisance.

I went to the grocery store this morning. There was a line, letting about 10 people in at a time.
The only thing I saw weird is twice I saw older people with their own carts idly chatting 3 ft apart from each other. They need to keep their distance and get out so others can get in.

There are small family owned Deli's and meat markets/butcher shops throughout Southern California. 3 neighbors of mine got together and purchased half a cow from a butcher shop on my suggestion to them 2 weeks ago.
The Italian Deli i go to has been pretty much fully stocked on deli meats, cheeses, salads and Italian loaf bread. They also have a good selection of frozen raviolis, cheese, spinach mushroom or meat stuffed. Stuffed shells. Prepacked dough and pizza making items.

About 3 days ago, no rain to be seen and bright sunny day, I see 2 idiots at the market with face masks and clear rain coats down to their knees (the pull over your head kind).
They were white, just proves that stoopid has no ethnic or color barrier, lol

Not sure what people don't get.....
If we all do our part and stay distant, we can slow and eventually stop the transmission of this virus.
Some of us are doing our part, but others are screwing it up.....so we will all be punished with a prolonged process.

Every grocery store has special hours for seniors so they don't get stampeded by the hoarding masses.
If you're over 60 or 65, check the store's website for the special senior hours, some stores will also give early admittance to those who are handicapped but not a senior.

Take a senior shopping with you. You get in early.

OP, great blog. Upbeat and informative!

If people would just quit buying extra groceries they don't actually need yet, we'd all have plenty. Instead, most of this stuff is going to sit in people's pantry & freezer until it gets thrown out.
People acting like the grocery stores are gonna close, or that grocery delivery isn't available. Supply lines haven't broken down.
Yeah I'm mad about it

Anyone actually had any luck with grocery delivery? I tried 4 options, all were either not available or not scheduling until April. Amazon Fresh was the only one that would let me schedule delivery for a week or two down the road. Have had decent luck going to smaller markets like Trader Joes or Sprouts though.

What's ironic is most of these hoarders are dumb fuck ignorant retards who're obese to begin with. Uh, you've already eaten enough food for a month! Just fast for a while! Leave something for the rest of us!
|
|
All the hoarders are trying to return their shit and the stores wised up to it and told em they're SOL. Hopefully, lines ease up and we won't have any supply issues.

I think people are getting ready for what is going to occur six months from now. I can't blame someone for being over prepared at this point.
|
|
Guilty here, I’ve been hoarding $ for months now

It would be very cool if the authorities went to these hoarders homes, took all their shit, then put them in stocks in a public park so we could throw eggs at them til they die.
The problem with 7.8 billion on the planet is there's so many more assholes.
Wait til we have 12 billion

|
I'm with you, Balls! Kill those assholes. Line 'em up against the wall & riddle their paranoid bodies with bullets.

Been at a lot of markets lately just trying to buy a few items.
I'm beginning to wonder if it's a supply chain issue and not just hoarders.
Doesn't look like these stores are receiving cleaning products, water, etc. to even try to stock the shelves.
Some markets, but not all, are making you line up outside cause they're only letting a certain number in the store at one time.
The end of this bullshit can't come soon enough.

So glad i moved to Arizona. Lots of food here.
|
|
But where is the TP !!!
|
|
It is a supply issue people went from buying for a few days to buy for weeks. The entire supply chain was not set up to handle the new demand.
Regardless it pissed me off that I can't buy toilet paper or f'ng eggs. I'm not hoarding I just want some eggs for breakfast.
People are scared. I saw this 20 something trying to open her car with gloves on. She was clearly worried about touching anything and her face was almost pure terror.

There's a certain % of the population that's ruled by the reptilian part of the brain.
For some reason, their higher brain function doesn't get involved in the decision making process.
Throw in some adrenalin and you have the makings of a riot mob.
When you spot these people, give them wide berth.
Stay further than 6 feet from any type of large group or you risk being the next Reginald Denny.

I went into a random Smart and Final at about 6 pm the day before. People like lines. If there is no line people don't like to shop there. The store is pretty empty of people. There are plenty of fresh veg, fruit, produce. Fresh meat. Milk and egg. Frozen and spaghetti. A lot of things are limited to one piece only but I didn't notice because there is plenty of spaghetti and frozen meat.
I have been using Amazone Fresh, Prime now / whole foods, and lately Walmart delivery. They all broke down now with no delivery date available. For my last successful Walmart delivery 2 weeks ago, they didn't reserve the items on my cart and let them ran out. I got half the items I ordered.
On the bright side, I'm eating fresh organic lettuce, Atlantic salmon and New York steak every day.
