I didn't pass 3 times

Ugh, I'm so embarrassed to share but maybe someone out there has a better way to practice for the real estate brokers exam.

Actually...after thinking about, I may just be a realtor. What's your thoughts guys?

Anyone wanna take the test too? We can all study together!!

If anyone knows a better prep program than Mike Russ, let me know. I was able to pass by insurance exam with MR though. But the insurance industry is just too boring for me! No creativity involved.

NO, I'm not selling anything. Not a thrAD! I'm just here twittling my fingers on how to pivot my finances and poof, all of a sudden I have this urge to wanna sell houses here on the Coast. LOL!!

My background is interior design, home staging and renting out furniture. Trying to figure out a more stable position.

I feel the its gonna be a buyer's market soon! What do you think!!????

I passed the first time in the late 80s. I was given sample test questions & answers.
When I took the test , most of the samples were on the test. I was given the questions & answers by the broker I was going to work with.

I have used real estate trainers when I took my test.
I passed in 2006.
It took me a 4th time to pass so don’t give up!
I do hear that it’s a tougher test now.
But it can be done.
Good luck to you.

Take a crash course, Real Estate Trainers has a great one! I only studied my notes from the crash course and passed easily.

I’m confused.

You took the brokers test first?

That test is hard

The realtor test is much easier

I could be wrong but I thought you need to be an agent for two years before you could take that test

Duane Gomer.

duanegomer.com

I used Duane 25 years ago when I got my Salesperson's license, and also for a Notary certificate.

I didn't study a lick and passed the Broker's Exam first try, but that was after a dozen years in the business and I went to law school as well.

The key is study. Study 10 times more than you think you need, take 10 times as many practice tests as you think you need, even when scoring 95 or 100%.

And take the capstone course, go in, sit for a weekend of live instruction...they will teach you the tricks!

Good luck!

I took the salesperson exam in 1976, I tried to study at the beach, but it wasn’t conducive.

Lucky for me I passed first try.

All real estate offices have prep and crash courses. My wife took it and also passed on her first try.

She also made her first sale.

Trick is to find a sponsor

Tough biz, most realtors don't make much $$$ and buyers are now gravitating to the internet, Zillow, Realtor.com, etc.
Worth a shot though, maybe you'll be great and score big time in the upcoming depression!
My only advice is buy low, sell high and don't try to catch a falling knife
Good luck!

I used CA realtor training. They sell recycled exams And other previously tested materials. I passed it on my first attempt. The real estate market might be crashing soon due to covid-19. Compass just laid off 15% of its work force this week.
What angle are trying to take?

as stated above, real estate trainers is a really good training company. Make sure you take the crash course.

I'm an active broker. You can pm me if you want to discuss what is coming next in the market....

I'm assuming you mean a salesperson license and not a broker's.

Bored housewives get licenses so they can "sell houses on the side."

If you failed 3 times, maybe it's not for you.

I wouldn't worry about it, go for it. Don't stop till you pass.

Wasn't it John F. Kennedy Jr. that failed the Bar exam twice before passing on the 3rd try?

The son of a president? A Kennedy? You know he had the best tutors, all the advantages and I bet he had unfair assistance in the test itself (cheating).

Just food for thought.

There are so many terrible real estate agents. A lot are just lazy people who want to make money without doing shit.

Check with your title rep. She/He has the practice tests and if they don't, find a new title rep.

There are so many terrible real estate agents.

Tell me about it. Twenty two years ago I placed a bid on a property and gave the agent a check for my bid. A week later he told me someone else got the property. I found out that my bid was higher but he waited three days before placing my bid.
