I’m spending my money on N95 mask!!!!!!!!!So I can see the ladies

To be eligible for the full amount, a person’s most recently filed tax return must show that they made $75,000 or under. For couples, who can receive a maximum of $2,400, the cutoff is $150,000.
A couple's starts to decrease @ $150,000 and goes to $0 @ $198,000.
If you're not getting one, good for you.

Does anyone know How soon can the qualified peeps expect to receive the funds?? Please lmk!! Cuz I wanna Holla for a Dolla!! Lol 😝
Make sure the government has your correct address. There should be some info on this now that stimulus has passed. Probably need to let IRS know your current address if it has changed.
If you have automatic deposit set up with the IRS, you will get the money quicker....
It’s based on adjusted gross income. Approximately three weeks for cash to be sent.

A lot of people aren't eligible for those benefits, and not because they make too much money. My understanding of it (and maybe I'm wrong? I kinda hope so), if for any reason you didn't file taxes in 2018, you won't qualify (unemployed, disabled, etc). And if you want to go for unemployment instead, you'll only qualify for *that* if you have been recently laid off bc of the pandemic - if you're simply getting zero-hours but haven't actually lost your job, then you won't qualify. If you're gig economy, self employed, sole proprietor, etc, you won't qualify. Even if you do qualify, if the IRS doesn't have your current direct deposit info, or a current address, your check is going to be delayed by *months*.
Oh and that check is taxed, so it'll be closer to $600 than $1200 which is nowhere near enough to stave off the landlord trying to evict you for nonpayment while you can't work.
This is 2008 all over again. I'd encourage people to try & support local small businesses as much as possible right now. Big corps are getting huge bailouts, but small biz aren't - they're eligible for new small business loans though. Whoopee I guess. A loan that you get to pay back, or a blank check with no strings attached.
Can you tell I'm mad about this?
DeLaine fortunately, you are incorrect.
The check is NOT taxed, so you will receive the full amount.
If you did not file 2019 or 2018 tax return, the IRS is telling people to immediately file their 2018 tax return so they will be eligible for the check.
Here is some information.
For once I'm actually really glad to know I'm wrong about something
The information that is being promulgated says that these "stimulus" checks are NOT taxed.
There is a tiered, income-stratified qualification threshold. It's based upon your 2018 tax return.
Above $198,000 AGI (adjusted gross income) for a married couple: you get nothing. $99,000 for a single tax filer is the ceiling. Unless you file as a single/head of household filer making under $112,500.00 -- you will get the full amount.
Married couples with an AGI of less than $150,000 will get the full $1200.00 amount.
The payment will NOT be taxed.
Plenty of info...
Loki....a married couple filing jointly making under $150,000 AGI will get a $2400 check.
Well you can’t be evicted BUT you still gotta pay and that’s valid til May 31st after that you have 6 months to pay it back to landlord.
You must have filed a tax return for tax year 2018, 2019 or have a 2019 Form SSA-1099, Social Security Benefit Statement, or Form RRB-1099, Social Security Equivalent Benefit Statement
didn't file since I have my SSA-1099
The 6 month payback is crucial. That's still a very short amount of time for low income people who are already living paycheck to paycheck.
From what I understand, LA city council is considering adding in additional protections against retaliatory for-cause evictions so that landlords don't start looking for "other reasons" to evict tenants that are unable to pay. Hopefully other local governments do the same, but there's no word on when LA city council will reconvene since their March 31st meeting was canceled, last I heard.
Other LA-area cities have their own rules though. The CA governor's order halting evictions lasts until May 31st, and you have to declare your inability to pay in writing no later than 7 days after the rent-due date. You do have to have proof of your inability to pay, i.e. bank statements, a letter from an employer, paystubs, etc.

It's not a stimulus package.
It's a RELIEF package.
Assuming I actually get one, it will probably all go to my ridiculously high health insurance premium and prescription refills.
Wow...you are stupid.
1,200 bucks... or 2,400 bucks... I am sure it will help some...
But if you live in So. Cal. and are a bartender, waiter or other hourly worker... it’s a bandaid on a gunshot wound.
Hey Butthead,
Do you know how to reload ammo??? If not it's damn well worth learning how!!
FUCKING Dumbocrat Communists!!! I'm down to ~14,000 primers but they're doing their best to close up all the ranges!!
'Wow...you are sheepid'
Did you just had a tard moment, day, week, month, year...?
MOFO... you will get your wish.
Sadly, I won't get any because I am over the Maximum AGI.
On a separate note:
When you call your creditors, mortgage lenders, utilities, etc.
Make sure you say " I have no income due to Corona virus" They need to hear the key word
"Corona virus" to be able to enact their new policies, defer payments, halt late fees, etc.
Apparently they cannot couch you to say it. You have to do it yourself..
FYI to those who need this info.

I believe 20% will be with held. As you will have show for it as taxable income come next year.
I'm going to be one of those people on an extremely long phone hold with the IRS having to explain myself. Some people don't fit into the standard category they are trying to push to the public. Interesting times we are in right now.
They give 0 details.
I'm going to buy 1200 rolls of toilet paper, seperate the plys, then re-sell 2400 rolls of toilet paper. Free-Enterprise, Bitches!
