Any one who knows me knows I’ve put on a few pounds so I’ve been working out to try to lose the weight but my diet is horrible because when I go to the store I have no clue what is good and what’s not..... what’s on your grocery list? Help me out people.

If there’s all kinds of health ingredients for cooking please specify in parentheses what dish I called so I can google it and find out how to make it

Thank you so much .....seriously. 😐

😘

all comes down to your macros, (P,C,Fats) IF you are taken in under 1800 calories for 150 lb woman, your are most likley going to lose weight. All takes time though.

Persistency is the diet you need with a side of consistency. You will do it.

Groceries, just google any :"healthy grocery list and reddit" that should open up a ton better than anyone can suggest here.

A good diet and exercise.

You can still eat anything you want, but cut down on the portions of meat, chicken and add vegetables and fruits to every meal you eat. Cut out chips and soda, not completely but if you don't have to eat that crap, then don't. Start by walking 30 minutes everyday or 5 days week for 30 minutes. Do it for 1 month, then bump it to 1 hour for maybe 3-4 day/week. In 3-4 months you will notice weight loss.

It takes time and your level of dedication and consistency will pay off. Set a goal for maybe 6 months to and finish what you start.

My last shopping trip was at Iris Smart and Final. Red Kale, red onions, cucumbers, spinach, apples, peaches and celery. I've been making some big salads. You eat one of those and you have no room for anything else. Eating that it's easy to stay under 1200 calories a day.

If I go back today I want one of their roasted chickens.

The variety and quality of frozen dinners has greatly improved over the past 5-10 years.
And you don't necessarily have to buy Weight Watchers, Lean Cuisine, or Healthy Choice.
Many (if not most) frozen dinners range from 300 to 500 calories. So with that, you get both portion control AND convenience without sacrificing much in the way of taste. For example, Benihana, PF Chang, and Tai Pei all have good frozen dinners. Obviously, it's not as good as eating out, it's a good alternative. Marie Callender and Boston Market also have really good frozen dinners that are < 500 calories. And they're all pretty filling, but if you're still hungry, then supplementing dinner with fruit or salad should do it.

I eat chicken breast (salt and black pepper for seasoning), fish, raw and steamed veggies (no butter or sauce), fruits, black beans, whole wheat tortillas, and eggs. Drink Naked juice (Very Berry). Try to maximize fiber and protein intake. Eating salads are good, just watch the dressing. Some restaurant salads have the highest menu calorie counts. Weight Watchers point system is easy and successful if you stick to the plan.

Avoid sugar, red meat, and any flour or breads.
I lost mostly by that and working out at least 3 times a week.
If you went vegan and avoid processed foods that would work to.
But that would be too much of a sacrifice for me! Good luck.

So I've been taking a nutrition class this semester and have learned so much. Focus on whole grains brown rice whole wheat bread stuff like that. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies and lean meats like fish and chicken. Most of your calories should come from carbohydrates but you have to pick one with a low glycemic index. I am currently using MyFitnessPal I limit my calories to 1600per day with 60% coming from healthy carbs 25% fats and 15% protein. If you can mean prep and plan ahead that is a huge help. This was dinner last night garlic crusted pork chop, brown rice with low sodium soy sauce and lemon and herb asparagus.

Watch the sugars and carbs, pay attention to your intake. As mentioned above calories are a key. Healthy calories are obviously better. A simple formula is pick the weight you want... add a 0 to it. Be faithful to eating that many calories and your weight will eventually get there.

ie: a guy wanting to get to 200 lbs ... eat 2000 calories a day. Again healthy calories are better because your body processes them better.

A lady wanting to weigh 120lbs... 1200 calories.

1 lb equals about 3500 calories. Depending on our size... we burn between 1300 -2500 calories just being alive and moving around in our daily routine. Add a little exercise... and we burn more.

It’s simple math... although... the better the food you eat... the more effective it is for your weight and your health.

ArtnJazz and Inked & Curvy and Kaiser Soce have the right ideas.

Calories that you take in but do not burn will be stored as fat.

Fat is 9 calories per gram, whereas carbs are 5 calories per gram, so limit fat while you're limiting carbs. You don't have to go hungry. Unsweetened yogurt with melon or your favorite fruit in the morning gives you a good protein hit and a sweet taste.

No portions larger than your hand, measured from knuckles to wrist (without fingers). Chicken breast rather than thigh. Lean beef. Turkey rather than salami or fatty lunch meat.

Walking is key, and as you build more walking muscle, replacing fat, muscle burns calories even at rest, whereas fat does not. So the more lean you get, the more your metabolism is spiked upward and therefore the more calories you can take in without storing them as fat.

Give yourself little cheat treats so that you don't get discouraged, but just one per weekend.

Do not weigh yourself daily; just once per week. Watch as the pounds tick downward and be encouraged.

Good luck.

U fucks are dumb...

1) Diets don't work!!! Fuck all the diet advice these AH are given. If you ain't feelin it, it won't help.

2) Why do you wanna lose weight? To look like you're 20 again?? If you ain't unhealthy, and you still look good (U do so don't trip) then grow old like the rest of us.

3) losing weight and staying trim is a lifestyle change. It means cutting out completely foods you've dined on for years. Can U do that?

4) Now if u still wanna lose weight seriously, then get a personal trainer. A good one is going to help you build a nutritional plan that you can live with. And she will get you exercising based on your skill level.

Now if another one of you bitches got more diet advice.. LOL.. Eat a dick.

^^^^ who said anything about a diet? It absolutely has to be lifestyle change or you will put it all back on and if given the tools why wouldn't you want to make healthier choices? So you look good great but it doesn't mean you aren't at risk for diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. So really who's the dumb one here

Get one of those phone apps like MyNet Diar, It will help you track your weight and keep count of calories and keep track of anything else you like - saturated fats, carbs, protein, fiber, vitamins, etc. It is a bit of work the first few weeks but gets easier after that.

For starters, don't be like some folks and consume a 500 calories coffee-is-candy morning beverage.

A good breakfast is oats (Cheerios or oatmeal), nonfat Greek yogurt (Dannon Lite n Fit) and a piece of fruit, like a big apple or a big peach. Maybe a mid-morning snack that is 150 calories or less. That should all total 450 cals or so. The yogurt is really important because protein helps you not be hungry.

A Lean Cuisine for lunch, 300 calories or less.

A mid-afternoon snack, 150 calories or less.

Dinner plus dessert - 900 calories or less.

There is 1800 calories for the day, no starvation.

And yes, have more sex.

"The only eating plan, diet etc... that works is one you can live with and will actually follow"

That's why I suggested frozen dinners. The healthy alternative has to be easier to prepare than the unhealthy food.

Another thing that would help is getting a one-quart water bottle, filling it up, and drinking it three times per day. The more hydrated you are, the less you eat, and the less sedentary you'll be.

Also, it would really help to establish a reward system for yourself for following through. For example, every week that you stick to your plan, you might buy a new pair of shoes, or watch a movie you've been wanting to see, or go the beach, or whatever. You don't need to do that forever, but at least until you see results, it helps a lot to have tangible reinforcement.

Good points have been made here, but I'll add more. Eliminating certain foods from your diet, such as grains, milk, beans, and artificial chemicals (known as the paleo diet) may help you with satiety. That is, this type of diet may help you eat less calories to feel just as full.

Another thing to consider, if an elimination diet doesn't interest you, is to use a calorie-counting app such as LoseIt! This helps you keep track of the foods and calories you consume daily, and you will eventually learn to eat the foods that help you stay within your desired caloric budget. This is what I'm trying now. It's not as drastic as an elimination diet.

all those stupid diets are for loosers...how long can you keep up with a diet?? And then there are those diets that allow to cheat on weekends LOL... all you do is pork up to make up for that crap you were holding on LOL...How many of you just eat like pig just cuz you wanna eat and not because you are actually hungry?? Many of you... and the thing is that eating like you used to after you turn 30 is bad. You body is not burning as much as you were when you were 25 and fat is staying on your gut forever and can't get rid of it...then after 20 years or so...your hit with high cholesterol, diabetes. high blood pressure, and if you pork up too much you fuck up you whole inside of your body...food is bad for you...we eat to die...
