Just to set the topic back on to the main kine of discussion, Trump is calling on Schiff to quit because of what Schiff said, with adding the context that Schiff went to great lengths to insist he was referencing a parody in order to prove a point.
Either Trump is taking those statements as facts, or intentionally misrepsresenting what Schiff said as parody as intention and intent.
Let me repeat, Trump is talking about arresting someone for treason because of a joke at his expense.

Granite - I appreciate the comment you made. The vast majority of Trump supporters I encounter will not acknowledge a single thing he’s done wrong, whether it’s his habitual lying, overturning environmental regulations that have improved air & water quality, or simply being a shitty bully to people who disagree with him. I give Trump credit for trying to address the trade issues with China, but he is so inept that he is mishandling it and creating major problems for American farmers and businesses.
When Obama was in office (I voted for him both times), there were a number of things he did (like supporting fracking or taking out the son of an American al Queda member with a drone strike) that I publicly criticized him for. Trump himself claimed he could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and not lose any supporters. That appears to be the case, but it says a lot more about his supporters than it does about Trump.
