Op = Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Fuck if I know what's going on over there. But there is information coming out that al-Assad is not as bad as we are lead to believe.
That whole region is a mess.....we have had troops in the area forever.....I think Trump is just trying to get people to fight their own battles....and not send our troops all over the world.
You mean like America First?
This may or may not be a good decision for the long run but it's certainly not something that should be made on a whim without input, or a plan at least, from your top military brass, which clearly did not happen. Even fuckface McConnell and cocksucker Graham have spoken out against this decision.

we have a base in turkey....they are a nato member ally
let's see if they do what they say they are going to do...trump said he will strangle their economy again. i am sure the base and nato membership is probably up for grabs and this is a test for them.
Erdoğan is a bad dude and this is his little rope to see what he does. maybe he wants to cut ties and go the putin route....they are trying to buy the russian defense system? not sure if that has been finalized yet
We pretty much had a skeleton crew there anyways as advisors.... so if Turkey is going in, then best to move them out of the way for safety.

McConnell and Lindsey Lohan have a vested interest in militarily manufactured weapons, of course they object.
Member when Haliburton had the foriegn contracts in rebuilding.
Much of the same with these stone faced Republiklans.
You can whimper all you want about gun control. Won't stop the NRA.

You should kiss NRA's ass every day for fighting for your right to protect your dumpster and forty!
less than a 100? trump said 50

You have no idea!
THE NRA MAKES GRUMPYS DAY!

Our presence their stabilizes alloes and foes alike. Once we leave , its like a shark feeding frenzy.

I am sure pulling 51 people out of Syria is going to make a difference lmao...
SMH # snowflake liberals. Get a job!
#MAGA!
50 troops there?
Yeah but, they all have the strength of 10.
douglas macgregor had a good take on the reasoning behind it...see if i can find it
trump is always trying to get the surrounding region involved in their own shit so we don't have to be

I am not a Trump fan but it is time to stop these endless wars. Now is as good a time as any. Now if he would just stop sending Saudi Arabia those millions or billions in military aid the tragic war in Yemen could stop too.

“POTUS WENT ROGUE”
LOL...
Ummm he is the president... he made a decision. HOW DARE HE!
Mitch McConnell believes he has a supermajority in the senate supporting troops remaining in Syria.
The House will do anything it can to oppose Trump... so... they can vote to keep troops in Syria. If the senate has 2/3... its veto proof.
Why is everyone’s panties in a bunch?
This is how it’s supposed to work.
Get all of US troops out of all those shit hole Countries in the Middle East.
here is the tucker clip....good stuff!!
macgregor comes on at the 630ish mark for 5min....the first 6min with tucker is good also...that's his main type of spiel

Here’s the problem:
1. The Kurds have fought side by side with our Special Ops forces. You don’t just turn your back on brothers in arms. It dishonors our military and our country.
2. Our military presence, however small, is keeping Turkey from attacking the Kurds. Trump withdrawing is a clear signal giving Turkey the okay to wipe out our allies.
3. The next time (and there will be a next time) we need support from local forces, they will remember the US does not honor its word.
4. This is how you create terrorists who want to exact revenge.
5. Speaking of terrorists, there are 60,000 ISIS families being held by our allies. We walk away and watch how fast they regroup.
6. Not conferring with your military experts before making a major strategic decision is stupid.
Trump’s actions on this are stupid and indefensible. You know it. He knows it. Everybody knows it.

I have a little conflict of interest cause I have a major, major building in Istanbul, Trump boasted in response. Its a tremendously successful job. Its called Trump Towers two towers, instead of one, not the usual one; its two. And Ive gotten to know Turkey very well. Theyre amazing people, theyre incredible people. They have a strong leader.

Trump only cares about himself! Not our Country, Not our allies and certainly not about any of you supporting him....

^Kelly gets it.
^But just the same, I’d love to give “it” to her myself. Just sayin’.

^^

Carpool?
the reality is that those properties are owned by others and license trump's name only for the project
not as much a conflict as you might think....were you thinking it was a 400million dollar building he was going to lose?
Insearchofstarfish....Those were Trumps words Not mine! Trump Said he had a Conflict of interest b/c of his 2 Towers in Istanbul!
Its obvious which interest he chose!
This is a self solving problem. Climate change will make this region uninhabitable in a few years.
took about 2min to hear it. he is off the cuff with his typical puffery style of self promotion before he was elected
they mention turkey and he gets to plug his building...sure that was first thing that comes out of his head
he would give two shits to have his name taken off the projects...the major amount of income from that project was paid out at the beginning when they were selling the condos and the ongoing is less than a million a year...maybe by a lot. the business owners love the plugs...i am sure they would not like to lose the name on the building which brings up values of real estate in the area.
listen to the youtue of macgregor above....there are many facets to the decision to remove 50 people from the area...might be good to hear all "possible" sides to it
he has been consistent with a few things-the countries in the region need to take care of themselves...they need to pay the freight of their own issues and defense...nato and europe countries need to do more.
this decision is brings all that together...we shall see.
turkey as a nato member needs to prove itself...trump has given them some rope to do so

If 50-100 American soldiers are vital to the Kurds holding the area, then they have bigger problems.
Harpooner,
I would ask how much time have you spent in the military? Your comment about “brothers in arms” sounds like you are a vet that may have been in a conflict somewhere. If so... I respect that.
If not, I would say spend some time in the Middle East in the middle of one of these conflicts (I have).
“The next time (and there will be a next time) we need support from local forces, they will remember the US does not honor its word.”
That’s an emotional bullshit argument. Local forces then... now and in the future support us when it is in THEIR best interests. The Kurds aren’t fighting with us because we are loyal buddies.
And...
What was our word that is being honored or broken? We will keep troops there forever? Because that is exactly how long this fight is going to last.
Trumps words have consequences whether it is for "puffery", bluster or to rouse the media...
In fact Pat Robertson said Trump may not get into heaven
Robertson says "The president, who allowed (Washington Post journalist Jamal) Khashoggi to be cut in pieces without any repercussions whatsoever, is now allowing the Christians and the Kurds to be massacred by the Turks"
"And I believe and I want to say this with great solemnity the President of the United States is in danger of losing the mandate of heaven if he permits this to happen" he concluded
Fire away Burnice!

Staff Sergeant Johnny "Joey" Jones (Ret.)
in this clip on dana's show...think clip is linked in twitter
says the kurds were thought of as very trustworthy and good fighting partners vs some of the other same type arrangements like the afgans
this does not mean we stay because of that fact though
"And I believe and I want to say this with great solemnity the President of the United States is in danger of losing the mandate of heaven if he permits this to happen"
Kelly... that has nothing to do with whether or not Trump personally gets into the good place.
He is essentially saying, “if you do this, God won’t be on your side anymore. LOL
Either way...I thought it was funny
I mean we can all see how much Trump concerns himself with his religion...Unless it is self serving
all these decisions are hard....that's why no one else was making them or staying the course of what was popular or status quo
Khashoggi? what did you want to happen there? play it out on all sides
same with this pull out decision
all the presidents said Jerusalem was the capital Israel and did nothing about it because it was easy to stay status quo trump said fuck that moved the embassy...ruffled major feathers with the decision. so far so good? any issues you care about here?
i will try and listen to both sides of anything....gotta be worth my time though
i tried for about 10min of susan rice on colbert....really tough when they hate the dude so bad though...you can see it with every utterance and face twitch, but i try

Harpooner has only fought battles against right wing people just because of their political beliefs. You know 5 of them masked and jump one elderly right winger. A brave soldier no doubt
