See... Straw man argument. My intention wasn't to say Obama NEVER was interviewed by other networks.... If remember correctly... fox was hosting the Superbowl and that was an interview on the most watched program of the year. Clinton had preferences. Obama had preferences. Bush had preferences. Trump obviously has a PREFERENCE.
Your assumption is because it's by some ”arrangement” rather than because he is a doofus that just likes to deal with people who stroke him.
Trump has been interviewed by other networks... But he he obviously has a preference. And it is obvious that it hasn't been an ”arrangement” because Shepherd Smith, Wallace and Cavuto have all been critical of him at times.

That Obama interview wasn't just for a Fox Super bowl Preview show. O'Reilly chopped in up in pieces and showed it on his show for about a week. It just showed Obama was scared of the media. Did they put out things he didn't like OF COURSE but he never call them Fake News and he wasn't afraid to even go on far right O'Reilly. I'd like to see Trump on Rachel Maddow.
From what I heard there controversy at Fox was between the REAL NEWS side and the OPINION side. I never knew Fox had a REAL NEWS side I thought the whole channel was OPINION and right wing propaganda. Clearly something must have went down recently for the guy to up and quit after being the 23 years and what recently happened is AG Barr met with Rupert Murdock, also Trump has been going crazy on Twitter about the Fox News poll above^. If you say nice things about him... he will like you! If you criticize him he will attack you.
If you say nice things about him....he will talk to you more. If you criticize him he will only talk to you if he has to.
To his credit... President Obama was not as petty or thin skinned. He didn’t feel like he had to swing at every pitch. If Dennis Miller (or some other celeb or comedian) made a negative comment about him... he usually didn’t engage... or he would sluff it of with a comment of pithy joke,

I don’t really care what the outcome is. I don’t hate Trump... and I don't love Trump. When he does something I think was right I can say, “I liked that.” When he does something bad... “I think he was wrong about that.”
It’s not all or nothing for me. I loved President Obama’s demeanor. I loved his approach to people and situations. I loved the dignity with which he carried himself. I often disagreed with him policy wise... but I didn’t hate him and I didn’t feel like I had to attack him at every turn.
A lot of people did. and when they said crazy bullshit, I challenged it. I really don’t care how any of this turns out. It will be whatever it will be... and like always... we will get through it. I just want to be fair-minded. And most people have no desire for that.
I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. I didn’t think he was ready for the job. But he was elected. Now he is the president. He is exactly who he has ALWAYS been.
I think the impeachment investigation is 85%political and 15% substance. But... because of the 15%... I agree there should be an investigation. At some point... I might agree he should be kicked out of office... but that isn’t even a consideration for me at this point.
Next year... if it’s Biden/Trump. I could vote for Biden.
If it’s Warren or Bernie/Trump.... I’ll be voting for Donnie.
