I have no problem not celebrating Columbus. I just refuse to villainize him.
Blaming him for what happened to the Indigenous people of North America is like blaming car crashes on Henry Ford.
That industrious fucker! He should have known his invention would kill millions and millions of people!

Oh... and that Mutherfukker James Naismith!
He’s responsible for thousands of bastard children. Not to mention the hundreds of white men who have had black nuts dragged across their face! They should have shot that guy the second he put up that peach basket!

Just for clarity... I know that it can be a little complicated --- convoluted even...
Christians are anybody that believes that " Christ " --- Jesus Christ --- is the son of God and their Savior...
Catholics are Christians There's no doubt about it, and they believe that the Pope is the Leader of their Church...
What formed in 1517 by Martin Luther in Germany, was the Lutheran Church, the first " Protestant " Church, which is also very much Christian, and later Churches such as the Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, and many others down the line, including non-denominational, evolved in a big way... They protested that the Pope is not their leader, and that they have their own uniqueness and beliefs, and wanted to direct the future of their Churches away from the Catholic Church --- which is based in Vatican City --- Rome Italy...
Religion 101 is adjourned for the day

Just leave it up to the Italian's to fuck the whole world up.
The spaghetti benders can never get anything right.

Phrye... I think the word you were looking for is tithing.... Which is the Old Testament instruction that in faith and gratitude for God’s provision... you give the 1st 10% (what the word tithe means)of your income to the Jewish Priests to provide for them, the temple and materials for worship.
Many New Testament Christians/Churches continue to teach the Old Testament principle of the tithe while others teach free will giving.
And BD... there is no clear definition biblically of the term Christian. That is why you can find people who call themselves Christians on every side of political, social and religious issues.
Some evangelical Christians do not consider Catholic’s to be Christians.
Catholics do consider themselves Christians as do Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses and other extra-biblical “Christian” groups. As mentioned above, just about anyone who claims to follow Jesus calls themselves “Christian.”
Each group claims some form of exclusivity.
The biblical term that can be defined is “disciple.” There are specific “qualities” in scripture for disciples.
This concludes religion 103 for today

Leave it to a bunch of mongers to define Christians 😂

For those who persist in calling for "Indegenous Peoples Day", I suggest dedicating it to the Aztecs. Nothing like cutting the hearts out of tens of thousands of live prisoners to put one in the celebratory spirit!

MUNK: Italians invented "fry bread". It's called pizza fritta. Fry up some pizza dough, serve with plenty of butter. DELICIOSO!
