Last thing n I'm out...I got two points . n where were y'all it's 340 pm. Hey. Wake up...my blog is correct. What's the opinion n I'm serious. Think about music. If there's absolutely no back up singer. No hype man. And just one singing person then that should be classified as something in music I know solo is one term. But,I believe that might have back up verses or what have you integrated into the actual song. So hmmmm. I ponder. Ok.

Check YouTube for the official trailer for the movie " Twenty Feet From Stardom."
Pays tribute to the great female backup singers.

Uhm, I have clients and friends in the music industry, and I can't understand a word of what's being asked here on the blog.
|
|
Check out the music Lemmy did with Wendy O. Williams!

Maybe a bit much, take a walk on darker path.

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do.

Oh yeah ... the Rolling Stones needed some woman as a back-up singer ...
Melissa ... I suppose back-up dancers are always needed as well??

Based upon the OP's original post I guess all of the following groups are questionable for lack of a female singer:
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
The Eagles
Who
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
The Temptations
The Jackson Five
The Righteous Brothers
Simon&Garfunkel
The Doobies
The Association
Tommy James and the Shondells
The Band
Air Supply
The Police
Charlie Daniels Band
And a few hundred more groups that I have failed to mention

|
What??

It was a hell of a clam fest when I was touring with the Spice Girls. Man we had a good run.

Love from afar coming straight to AP all day all night for........ Ever

I guess you can call 1 vocal part as a solo. When you do have backup vocals, the one out front can be referred to as lead vocal. If you have just singing and no instrumental backup the vocals would be accapella.? Two people singing isca duet, three people singing is trio, four a quartet. Since vocal arrangements usually have only four parts. Soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. More than 4 could be a choir.

Imagine using Alexa or Siri for blog translation.
|
|
I believe the woman's part is self-evident in "Love Me Like A Reptile". Long Live Lemme!!!
|
|
I like you Sweetie Melissa, but I disagree. The Beatles and The Beach Boys were perhaps the best in the last 50 years, and they didn't have a female part.
