i love it when they come in and preach constitution and law
every challenge so far to the so called clause has been defeated in the courts...do you think "you" personally have better knowledge than about 5 - 2000 dollar an hour atty's looking at this and giving the go ahead? even it it was just to provide cover for the syrian pull out...it was probably going to hold up in court or they would not have floated it(appeals court)
it's bad optics and needed to be taken out of contention....done!
