We have 7 million infilled jobs . That is more than ever. We have the lowest unemployment in over 50 years. I am center right. Don’t consider myself to be a conservative... but lean right on fiscal issues. So I often vote down the right side of the ticket. I didn’t vote for Trump... but if California were a closer Presidential race... I probably would have.
I don’t like the way the President carries himself. I don’t like the way he represents our country. I think there was surely an inference of quid pro quo on that phone call. Proving it is a completely different thing.
I honestly don’t think these fights (election tampering, collusion, and now the impeachment) have anything to do with protecting the constitution or the good of the nation.
It’s that at least half the people in the US are still pissed that he won, they don’t think he deserves to sit in that chair and any excuse to get him out of office is enough.
I don’t excuse or defend the President. I think he is a dastardly dude. But I also think he won the election.
To be fair, I don’t think everything he has done is bad... and I think the political climate has villainized him beyond what he deserves. Much of it he is completely deserving of.
There is a part of me that likes that Trump doesn’t give a damn about rules and protocol and “the system” as we know it. Does that excuse him if he breaks the law? No. He should be held accountable. We are a nation of laws and that is how we get to live the lives we have. I am content to watch all of this play out. I just wish public discourse hadn’t become so nasty and mean spirited.
Constant insult and mischaracterizations of each other and events have eliminated any civil discussions and objective views of issues.
Here is the biggest problem I have.
If you give me a choice between Trump, Bernie or Warren... I gotta take Trump.
I could vote for Joe... but I think the left (far left) is on a systematic mission to take him out.

Here's the problem. We've had 2 1/2 years of investigations. A special counsel appointed. Three congressional investigations. The media is running around with a hard-on just looking for a Trumphole to stick their collective dick in...and
A BIG FAT NOTHING!!!
Now we're starting the charade all over again. All the public hearings and investigations amounted to nothing, so this time, they will do it in private, and they will leak selected tidbits that can be spun to make Trump and Republicans look bad as the next election approaches.
Everything else they tried with Trump has blown up in their faces. This will too, and he will be reelected. Those are simply the facts.
The only thing Trump has done is talk shit, tweet too much, and offend snowflakes. And the snowflakes better toughen up, because you're losing the house over the impeachment stuff in 2020 as well!
That means: Men's and Women's separate bathrooms again, the wall will be built, taxes will be lowered, wars will be ended, troops will be brought home, trade deals will have to be fair for both the US and the other country, and people will be forced to take more personal responsibility for themselves and their actions and needs, because the government won't be doing it for you.
Hopefully come 2020, we will have heard the last of "The Squad" too.
