I fired up both of my 3500 and 1000 watt generators yesterday for about half hour just to cycle the fuel. The 3500 will power most of my lights, refrigerator and a television or two. I installed a three gallon tank on it and get 24 hours run time between fill ups.
Today I looked at a couple of 7500 / 9000 peak watt generates. I'm thinking something big enough to run my central AC and everything else in the house. Maybe diesel for longer run time.
I had a consultation with a solar company last week , they told me for what I pay for electricity $112 a month doing the 12 month average plan it isn't financially feasible to install solar. My monthly solar payments will be more than my electric bill and I'll probably be dead before it's paid off.

On my way back from LA about 4pm. Another ! Another fire breaks out in LA next to 5. Crazy ass people now a days
