I love Bloomberg, but I’m afraid his candidacy is not going to do much. He’s not a good campaigner and won’t end up making much of a dent. I think he’s worried about the moderate Biden sinking with the emergence of hard left candidates Warren and Sanders, and he questions the ability of these hard left candidates beating Trump next November. He’s totally right with his concerns, but again, I’m not sure there is much he can do about it.
Shows to me that the Democratic establishment is very worried. Good news for Trump.

My biggest problem with Trump isn’t this impeachment bullshit. It is that he is all smoke and mirrors. Hasn’t done a goddamned thing to help move this country forward. No lowering of prescription drug costs. No infrastructure improvements. No incremental gun law reforms (like universal background checks) like he promised. He has been useless! Do we really want four more years of his bullshit?
Ok so he did pass criminal justice reform I think, but I can’t think of anything else. He’s reactionary about most things he does. I’m not a hard left guy like Warren at all, but we need moderate, sensible incremental changes to how we deal with the environment, with health care, etc... very badly. Eight years of doing nothing really hurts.

bloomberg sucked as mayor, unless you like a nanny telling you how to live, he has always been a spoiler. let him run, trump will win regardless

What “incremental” gun laws reforms were you hoping for? I don’t remember those types of promises. He seemed to be an avid 2nd amendment supporter. I thought the extent of his “reforms” were strengthening background checks.
As far as moving things forward... it seems the things he “promised” to do he has at least tried to do. The “wall” being the most notable promise. You gotta admit... he has fought tooth and nail for every inch. I really believe he could have gotten Mexico to pay for a big part of it... even though Mexico doesn’t want it, if the Democrats didn’t have a posture of obstruct. He has done a lot to curtail illegal border crossings. He has squeezed Mexico to stop being a conduit for South and Central American illegal immigration. But Democrats winning the House last year cost him much of his agenda.
I don’t completely blame the Democrats... that’s the way the stupid game is played now. The Republicans did it to President Obama. He used everything he had to push through “Obama Care.” It cost him the house and the senate and then the Republicans obstructed the rest of his agenda for the most part. What he did get through... he did through Executive Order... which is what Trump has resorted to... which has caused court battle after court battle.
I’m ok with gridlock. It’s frustrating... but it means it is very difficult to make big changes. That’s what I hate about California. There is not enough gridlock here Democrats supermajority in the state legislature is a problem.
I am glad Trump got two Supreme Court Justices seated. I have been concerned about “gun reform.” It’s impossible to do without infringing on the rights of law abiding citizens.

OH and Bloomberg... ehhh.
It will be interesting to see how the Democrats handle his candidacy, IF he runs. At this point he “legally” can’t get into the debates. He doesn’t meet any of the thresholds.
He really didn’t do much for NYC. Giuliani cleaned up the city in the 90’s. I grew up there. I remember what it was like before and after Giuliani.
If you want to limit the size of your Big Gulp and things like that... Bloomberg is your guy.

Sure NY is the most crime ridden city in the World after that loser and DeBlasio. He won’t get nominated

Lol Night Rider. Record Stock Market and lowest unemployment in over 50 years. That sure is nothing. Turn off the network propaganda news snd think for yourself. There is no crime to impeach Trump for. There is a treaty signed by Clinton that says US and Ukraine leaders are obligated to investigate corruption in their countries. But I guess he covered up nothing. It’s all BS by the Dems and they are trying him in the propaganda press. It won’t make it through the Senate so be ready for another 5 years of prosperity. You can either fight it or prosper

Nancy refuses to work with the President and the Republican-controlled Senate to pass an infrastructure bill or work on prescription-drug legislation. She has refused to call for a House vote on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.
The Democrats are too busy trying to impeach the President to do anything that might actually benefit the American people.
