It will be interesting if it’s Harris. The Repubs will try to use her record as AG to drive a wedge between her and “the black community.” I am sure some of the SuperPACs will also go after her choice to marry a white man.
Shouldn’t be an issue... but since most people make decisions emotionally... they will try to play up the “black when convenient” angle.

None of the leading candidates are going to be helpful to Grandpa Joe. The are all deeply flawed.
If he wants a black female, he should chose between Candice Owen and Condoleeza Rice. Two women way smarter than Joe.
He made a really stupid mistake months ago saying he would pick a woman for his running mate. It has seriously limited his choices.
As much as I personally dislike her, Elizabeth Warren is the one with the energy he needs to add to his ticket.

Most “black” votes are in urban areas... that really doesn’t help Joe. He has those electoral votes already.
Trump has a significant amount of “quiet” black votes in rural areas.
The battle grounds again will be Pennsylvania and Ohio. Will the city votes outweigh the country votes? There is the election.
Kamala doesn’t give joe a lot of help where he needs it.
It wasn’t smart to narrow his VP field in the primaries... but.... maybe he felt he needed that to win the nomination.

I see little difference in picking a running mate based on gender (and not qualifications) vs. picking because the color of their skin.
What would we be saying if Biden (or anyone else) said I won't pick a black running mate? They would rightfully be labeled a racist.
This is no different (in my opinion).
I can't think of any of the leading VP candidates that could get me to vote for Joe.
Condeleza Rice - now I'd vote for her in a heartbeat....
