Bring it, locked and loaded.

They will only take the ones they find, or purchased on a 4473.
Why anyone would purchase a gun with a paper trail is beyond me.
|
|
You seem to know little about gun owners relationship with the NRA.
NRA vs Gun Owners has its own agenda just like the Police union vs Police Officers.
|
|
I fail to understand men’s fascination with Firearms.
Most likely a case of TPS
Tiny Pecker Syndrome
I do not dislike guns , I gave a 9 and a 12 gurgle for home protection. That’s about it.

Millions of people will die if the government ever tried taking our guns. I have over 20 ARs in my collection, one girl I have outcalled can prove that, I sleep very comfortable at night.
Anyone looking to buy guns use armslist, it is a big hassle trying to purchase a gun right now. Most inventories are sold out and background checks take much longer. Buy used through an FFL dealer and do it before Biden gets in office.

Wondering where to hide my guns and ammunition.
|
|
At my house 😁

If true... once again this proves corruption can be found everywhere.
The Organization does not rise and fall based on Wayne LaPierre.
The NRA isn’t going anywhere.
|
|
Yeah, they will move to Texas which they should have done years ago.
Why the fuck would you stay in New York state????
Never been a member although I've had my CA hunting license since I was like 12 or something.
Owned my first gauge before I was 16, it's all you really need for home protection.
When the bad guy hears that shell get racked, he's going to the next guys house unless he has a death wish.

You wonder why we think Trump supporters are crazy just watch this......
Trump: "He (Biden's) Against God he's against guns lol
|
|
uhm, funny thing is err,ehh
The NRA is kind of
well
uh
irrelevant...
There just not that important anymore for keeping 2a rights
my last background check took one day. before I could get my stuff from my FFL.

Another socialist pipe dream. Good luck dummies. NRA is meaningless except as a lobbying org. It's like thinking eliminating Planned Parenthood would stop birth control. Fools.
|
|
Here's the pipe dream:
There's already more than 1 gun per person in the USA.
Progressives are stupid enough to think they can control them all
Currently, the strictest gun control laws are in Progressive cities/state like Chicago
Where gun violence is the worst
How are those laws working out for you idiot Progs?
You think somehow passing more of them will change anything?
Now, due to more stupid imbecilic Prog mayors sanctioning street violence
Gun sales are thru the roof
Making it even more difficult to control
Progressive wishful thinking would attempt to leave law abiding citizens defenseless
While encouraging lawlessness and violence against the most defenceless citizens, the working poor in city centers
Progressives should be used for target practice.

When the NRA gets the Flynn treatment, then you know this is your trial run for Socialism in America (and your last opportunity to stand against it).
When's the last time you saw a nationwide org shut down by opposing views?
Hows that weaponization of Government working out for you?
With Dems in charge, it'll be the IRS, the DOJ, and the EPA coming after you. Whatever it takes.
For those of you that don't believe in 1A and 2A, well that's probably fine. But when they run out of conservatives to target, they'll come after the libs (you) next.
Because well, swampers gotta swamp.
|
|
You guys crack me up with your Socialism bullshit and their coming to get you conspiracies.
Bernie Sanders won't President move on.
This bullshit is wearing thin even with your own party.
Lets just sit and wait to see what crazy bullshit Trump trys pull to win the election.
|
|
Dude, WTF?! Don’t jinx it!
Knock on wood! This is Trump we are talking about! Calling in foreign nations to help? Not an issue for him!
Toss salt over your shoulder!
Create some bullshit story to cover up his mistakes? Throw people under the bus? Trump does this every day!
Spin around three times in a clock wise manner and spit!
And now he is desperate! His supporters are photoshopping Biden, and Trump retweets it.
Imagine what bullshit he will come up with in 60 days!

and back in topic, the NRA is already collapsing as the internal power struggles have begun to show.
|
|
Some of the comments on this blog really highlight stupidity and the willingness to ignore reality.
This one decision may play out to be the biggest move in the upcoming election. I’m guessing the polls are going to show a tighter race from this point further. Everyone likes to make guns a blue/red issue, but the truth is there are plenty of blue politicians in pro gun districts.
Yes the NRA has been having internal issues, and I think their numbers have been in the decline, but don’t think for a minute that they don’t still wield a huge amount of political clout. There are a lot of people that don’t like the NRA as it’s being run, but like the ideas they think it stands for. There are also people that are afraid to be members because of concerns that the current cancel culture will root them out and it may cost them financially.
This is an obvious political move, and it’s going to increase membership and galvanize a lot of people that might have been wavering. It doesn’t help Biden’s case when he says he’s not coming for your guns, but then a States Attorney General tries to dissolve an organization with millions of members that oppose your political views, because four people may have committed fraud. Talk about over playing your hand.
And by the way, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some bullshit going on. When Ollie North aired the dirty laundry a lot of shit came to light. But the idea that you are going to use that as an excuse to dissolve the whole organization is ludicrous.

|
@Dbledmike , uhm Biden is coming for your guns. The guy said if he becomes president then Beto(I want to take your ar's and ak's)O'Rourke will be his gun czar. That made it clear to me he is coming for some guns.
The New York going after the NRA is a political hit job, but like everything the left does it will have unintended consequences or will just straight up backfire on them.
|
|
Honestly, I don’t think Biden cares. He changes his stance and what he says to fit whatever is going to get him more votes that day, or he just can’t remember what his last stance was. My whole point was that a lot the people commenting on this blog are ignoring what the unintended consequences are going to be. The New York Attorney General May have given this election the Trump.
|
|
@Dbledmike, I don't think he cares either the guy is barely coherent. I think he cares about sitting in his wheelchair and his blanket than anything else
|

I am an NRA member... simply because of their political clout. But honestly... I am so sick of getting letters and e-mails from Wayne LaPierre asking for money. Once or twice a year? Maybe. But the constant barrage... no way.

My permit is from Florida and my gun is safe there (-:
Butt-head I need to do some shotting

This has nothing to do with gun laws. The top brass has been embezzling money from the organization

Most people can't even recite what the Second Amendment said. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Rabid gun owners usually ignore the first four words, "A well regulated Militia". Unless you are in the National Guard or other regulated government military force, you are an individual and most definitely not part of a "well regulated militia". Most of the chest beaters that brag about the weapons they own seem to think manhood is synonymous with owning military assault rifles. Any yahoo can own a gun. It doesn't make you a man anymore than owning a screw driver does. Meanwhile no one really cares if you have a handgun or single shot rifle you keep at home or go hunting with. However, every sane person should care when the nation's citizens become more and more heavily armed with rapid fire automatic weapons. We've seen the results of that with mass shootings, time and time again. Peace in society isn't fostered by the ownership of assault weapons. Just the opposite.
|
|
Ok. If you believe there is has no political agenda that’s cool. I have some great beachfront property in Arizona I can sell you...
Three year investigation, and they decide to prosecute and try to abolish the largest pro-gun organization in the country 90 days before a major election. I’m sure politics had nothing to do with the decision making there.
Honestly if they had played their hand smarter and just gone after the four individuals they would have done more harm. Gun owners across America don’t really care about the individuals in charge, they care about the organization.

The militia doesnt stand for a government entity.
We the people would be the militia to fight the overreaching oppressive government.
We had guns and beat the British back.
Imagine if we didn't have guns back then because the government at the time said no?
Guns are tools nothing more, the problem with society is people. People are evil and unkind. Fix people fix everything
|
|
The meaning of well regulated militia, was never, a group of unregulated individuals. At the time it was written, a well regulated militia was used to define a group under the power of the state, not federal government. But never was it meant to define individuals operating on their own accord. Any reference to the Revolutionary War is so outdated to be irrelevant. Americans without the existence of a standing military had no choice but to defend themselves against the British until they were organized as the Continental Army under Washington while living under a foreign power. Seriously doubt our nation's military can't handle an outside power trying to invade us. Regarding, the tired old argument that people kill people, not guns. I'm pretty sure of a few things, its the bullet holes that killed people, not a sock to the jaw. And anyone who thinks this society will ever be free of the crazies is living a fairly tale. There will always be the permanent, deeply disturbed crazies and temporary crazies (think insanely jealous lover or road rage hot head) ready to kill for real or imagined slights. Happens every day. Somewhere along the way rational discussion about reasonable attempts to limit access to rapid fire assault weapons has been perverted into a fight for individual liberty. The politicization of everything is destroying this country if you haven't noticed. Wearing a face mask to protect others is an example. Even this has become deliberately politicized when it is and has always been about public health and common sense. I don't hear an outcry about wearing seat belts and yet you could claim that is an infringement on personal liberty. I live by the beach and I don't recall an outcry about a restaurant demanding you wear a shirt to get service. So take a breath, step back, and start looking at things from a pragmatic point of view. Is it good policy? Are we better off if we take these steps? What is best for the entire country, not just us personally. Its time folks.

Biden is exactly like Hillary just senile. He will say and do anything for votes. Hes definitely coming for our guns. Only reason I take him seriously this time is because, if elected, he will be beholden to the far, far left. And Stupid Joe has no backbone. He will capitulate just like he did in 1988 and 2008.
|
|
I’m not worried about guns right now on a national level. John Roberts is the only real question on the court... and he historically had a “strict constitutionalist” take on the 2nd Amendment.
So... the states will continue to be the battle grounds.
|
|
Its laughable and inaccurate to think Biden is senile. He grew up with a stutter and that does impact his speech from time to time. Calling him senile is just right wing talking points, parroted by Trump lovers who when pressed, have no interest in deep diving in facts and history. All you have to do is listen to Trump's utter incoherence to know what confused and possibly senile thinking looks like. He can't string a few sentences together without sounding like a babbling fool. Someone said something I found intriguing. Trump supporters rally around him not because he advocates what is best for them, but more they share his distaste for the objects of his scorn. One of the ironies is that the Republican party has without question been the most oppressive when it comes to sexual freedom. They have a long, long history of wanting to keep prostitution illegal and outlawing porn. The GOP panders to Evangelicals who deeply support Trump and don't really support the notion of "land of the free". One example being their belief in sexual abstinence till marriage. They call it the "virginity pledge". Gimme a fucking break. And they don't believe in a woman's right to an abortion. And how many providers would you guess have had one of those? Trump cares about one thing and one thing only, whats good for Trump. And he has amply demonstrated his willingness to lie and cheat and corrupt others to get it. If you think he gives a shit about you I have a bridge I'd like to sell you. I'm from NYC and we were on to Trump a long time ago. We knew him as a total scumbag then and he hasn't changed one iota.

Not sure that the New York AG had the authority, in this situation, to go after individuals. I assume that the NRA is a New York based non-profit so the AG's only option was go after the NRA as violating the rules for a non-profit organization. Did the same thing to the Trump Foundation in 2018. It s not even clear that the top officials at the NRA violated any laws but they are certainly corrupt as Oliver North (yes, that Oliver North) pointed out. This whole episode started when North asked for an examination of NRA's spending. Wayne Lapierre countered by firing North and the ugliness began. Of course, the timing is quite suspicious.
|
|
Ok, just for the record, this investigation is into the top four people at the NRA for fraud, most notably that they used NRA funds for their own fun and games.
NRA may be insolvent because of this fraud, in which case the govt has the right to shut it down and seize assets to compensate membership of the group.
No one is coming for your guns, but that NRA membership card may be as valuable as the penny hiding in your couch cushions.
NRA's biggest role has been lobbying politicians and donating money to their favorite candidates, which includes Democrats in many states.

The only people who seem shocked and afraid are the people who agree with the Op. No one who is an NRA member or For gun ownership is rushing out to buy guns... They already HAVE THEM moron.
As far as the NY State AG disbanding the NRA... 1) WHO TF cares, 2) Bring it on id love to see a court say that an organization who's senior members exercised their own oversight and brought La Pierre's spending to light has to be disbanded as they clearly cannot control themselves. Seems to me they are controlling themselves and doing something about it. The AGs assistance is neither warranted, asked for or welcome.
I'd prefer an AG actually look into Trade Unions and their blatant use of funds against members interest ... obh no can't do that .... that would pass our friends off.

*piss our friends off

Sly... I haven’t heard anyone call Biden senile. But if you watch and listen to him... his mind has slowed... just in the last few months. His speech is slower and has trouble thinking down a straight line. I just think age is catching up to him.
And ... brevity is your friend. 😁
