That a tough Question for a national poll because there are few nationally known mayors... when there are literally thousands. Some are incompetent, some corrupt and some just bad at their jobs.
I’d have to vote for Mayor McCheese. He is a bit like that guy who was the “Mayor of Hollywood years ago. Largely ceremonial with little or no ability to change/fix anything.
There are several who have made themselves very well known through their demented responses to the looting and lawlessness in recent weeks.

Chuck....if the citizens in those cities do NOT vote those idiots out, they deserve whatever happens in their cities. Of course, so many of those cities are far left leaning and the next mayor will be as ineffective as the one they boot out.

Stupidest Mayor hands down is Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman-she gained national attention by pushing to open up Vegas, all the casinos, hotels and restaurants in April.
Do a Google search, you'll see her on CNN being interviewed and it's not pretty.

The list of bad mayors is inane. Prior to the Trump Pandemic and the worst economic conditions in the history of the U.S., young people couldn't move fast enough into most of these cities. Rents were through the roof. If they are so badly managed, why do your kids want to move out of dreary suburbia to live in NYC, LA, DC, Portland, etc.?

Jazzy 51 - I am well aware of the stampede out of major cities since my relatives are involved in the NYC and Long Island real estate markets. What isn't clear, at this point, is whether this will be a long-term trend or not. People in NYC were completely freaked out about COVID-19, and if you could work at home and had no desire to shop or go restaurants, living in the city is no longer that appealing. When the dust settles, will mid and large corporations decide to let white-collar folks work at home since productivity doesn't seem to have decreased over the last 4 months? If that happens, we may very well see a huge deterioration in cities throughout the U.S. and the collapse of the commercial and residential real estate markets in urban areas.
I expect this will be permanent. I am sure people will find out living in the city with its huge cost makes no sense...especially if their employer allowed them to work virtually.
