She gave a great heartfelt speech. You have to give credit where credit is due. I disagree with some of her content, like “countless black men being killed by police.” But it was an excellent speech. Can’t imagine anyone topping it this week.
Countless Black men? Really? There are so many they can’t even be counted? No... it’s rhetoric.
It supports a false narrative... but... it’s the conventions. It’s not over. The next few nights will have more rhetoric.
Then the Repubs will unleash their own few days of story telling.

Yes, Jimmydee.....no longer a donor state and when the stupid people in this state pop the top income tax rate to 16.8% and commercial property taxes lose the Prop 13 protection....the rich will depart in the droves. Look at New York......Cuomo is begging the millionaires to stay....as they bail from the state. Some think it is temporary....I personally believe those millionaires will be gone from NY permanently.

I just can't wait until Putin calls Trump at 4AM and tells him he wants that asshole (and traitor) Snowden out of Russia pronto. Of course, Trump will then tweet out a pardon at 5AM. I have a good friend at CIA who thinks half of the workforce will leave. But, what the hell do when need the CIA when the Commander in Chief is pals with Putin, gives the Russian ambassador top secret information, and gives the green light for bounty killings. Trump probably thinks pardoning Snowden will hurt Biden's support with the left.
The reason that rich folks (actually not really rich) are leaving NY is because of the 2017 tax cut (not the Paul Ryan reform that made some sense). Upper income earners were totally screwed by limiting the deduction for mortgages and state taxes. If we had a more equitable tax system so the rich blue states (like CA) didn't subsidize the poor southern states our taxes wouldn't be so fucking high. Channeling my inner GBD, here is a statistic to ponder:
Federal Funding Per Resident
Virginia; $10,301
Kentucky: $9145
Missisippi: $6860
Alabama: $6,694
And the state of California: $12. That's right folks 12 dollars per resident. So, why the fuck are we funding all these loser Southern states.

One more statistic. The state of Kentucky (a loser state if there ever was one) receives $45 billion more in federal expenditures that it pays in taxes That is more than 20% of the state GDP. Fuck them. We are the 4th? 5th" largest economy in the world and drive technological innovation. In fact, if it wasn't for California, this country would really have to be made great again. How about we get a +20% of state GDP.
