Here is the thing with Trump.... I’m not a fan. I think he has serious personality disorders, the most evident being an extreme narcissist. That causes the challenge is, you are afraid of being seen a wrong, and as a result you, do whatever you can to be seen as, as Charlie Sheen said, “Winning.”
That gives your detractors a lot of openings. Then you add to that, a worldview that comes from a 74 year old rich white Man.
While he is in no way a “conservative”, he is doing things that advance some conservative issues. I am a fiscal and governmental conservative and a social moderate. I don’t care who you love or want to marry. I don’t care if you have a wiener and want a vajayjay... or have a cooter and want a wiener. I don’t think it’s my responsibility to pay for your transformation.
I believe in the concept of Black Lives Matter while I don’t support the overriding philosophy of the “organization.”
I like the idea of smaller government and less regulation in a lot of areas. I understand the need for an EPA and business oversight... but those things should not choke out business.
I believe in individual gun rights.
So... I like the idea of a conservative leaning Supreme Court. I believe “progressive” voices are necessary. The problem is the two extremes... both left and right. You can’t solve problems there.
But here is the challenge... the answer presented is Joe Biden. I would have voted for Joe 4 years ago. But not now... why?
Over 50% of DEMOCRATS do not believe Joe will make it through his first term. So that means we will have President Kamala Harris... which DEMOCRATS decided (by a landslide)just few months ago... “we don’t want.”
4 years ago, the extremists on the left didn’t have the power they have now. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie, AOC and the Squad, Kamala etc... drive Joe far left. The upside to that is would be the swing of the pendulum... the bad side is we can’t predict the damage that would be done to our cities. Seattle, Portland and Chicago will become the norm. Those “movements” are the goal of the Left.
Criminals with guns.... law abiding citizens without.
Government that pays for everything.
Capitalistic innovation begins to disappear when the incentive for success removed.
A solid “Cast” system will develop (unlike the one in place now). Our current system allows people to move from one level to the next. A Socialist cast system has a “ruling” class that is almost impossible to break into. Most common people end up stuck at the level the government decides.
So, I am not willing to trade a 74 year old rich white man (with some problems) for a 78 year old white rich white man (with some problems) who is rapidly diminishing... and then handing the reigns over to Kamala Harris.
I don’t hate Joe... I actually like him. But I won’t vote for him.

I didn't vote for Trump 4 years ago (voted libertarian) but will this time because the Dems have fallen off a cliff with their socialist agenda and want to take the country down with them. I don't personally like the man but I like the conservative policies he has and is trying to implement. And I bet most of the country feels the same way. I'm guessing there is a silent majority out there afraid to speak up for fear of being attacked by the left wing mobs. But come election day they will speak loud and clear and Trump will win in a landslide.

The other 3 rust belt states are also tied or, in Wisconsin, Trump is up by 1 point. At this point in 2016 Hillary had much bigger leads. On election day hillary was up in every battleground state, I think except Iowa and Ohio, and she lost every single one. And if you think stupid joe is the change candidate you must be out of your mind. The guy cant even tout his record. His party never mentioned his record at the dnc nor did biden. They chose to rewrite history instead. The guy trashed his own record during the primary. Biden is a fraud. Even his hometown is going more Republican.

The only thing that remains the same about political parties, incl the Dems and Reps, is that they morph over time into something new as they constantly look to stay ahead of the vote parade.
Look back and you'll see that the Reps and Dems have exchanged party planks many times. There's lots written about it, most recently in the WSJ OpEd Aug. 22nd edition........I would link but I know you don't subscribe plus most of the words are 2 syllables or more which means you won't understand it anyway.
What is unusual about Trump as a Republican is his level of protectionism (more normally a Democratic Party Labor backed plank in the past).
Anyway, I have no intention of listing what is easily findable in many articles that clearly refutes your constant idiocy.
There is a new political party called "The Common Sense Party" that's being formed in CA although Covid put their sign-ups on hold for now. Their plan is to allow people of good faith who just happen to disagree about something a big tent to work out those differences and provide an alternative to the Progressive Far Left and the Far Right. We'll see if it works out.........

Clearly, you can look over the Dems just since Clinton brought them back to Center-Left, as he triangulated with the help of Dick Morris, his second term.
There is hardly any resemblance of that Dem party to today's Bernie Sanders/AOC party at all.
And, Trump basically shanghaied the Rep party by clearing the decks of all those wannabes back in 2016.
