I think I'd feel very differently if the protests were 95% black and 100% peaceful, but they aren't. They are largely white.

Unfortunately a very bad segment of our society is ambushing the peaceful protests and using them for their violent agenda. It is the cover story for them to burn, loot, pillage and bring anarchy to our cities.
And city officials don't seem to understand the difference and don't have the balls to intercede immediately when it moves beyond 'peaceful'. But the main stream media doesn't seem to want to highlight the violence.

Having been on both sides of protests in my life, I can attest that escalation of protests brings out the stupid in everyone.
I wish we had more statesmen that could inspire and calm a crowd, rather than escalate conflict.

Hey NR: The riots in 1967-1968 were orders of magnitude greater than what is going on today. And the riots after the 1992 Rodney King trial were terrifying. There were fires as far as the eye could see. I was going from Anaheim to LAX 2 days after the riots started and my work colleagues said to me" go 100 mph and don't stop for anything". On the plane, LA looked like an inferno. Those were the days of anarchy.

It would sure help if the local authorities at city and state level would support thier own law enforcement resources to deal with this. Instead they prefer police to stand down and are agnostic to accepting help from federal law officers or national guard troops.
National guard could quell this violence easily but the blue state leaders wont let it happen...

Vss4, it’s a feeling of retribution and accountability. We keep taking steps backwards in the peace process when every person of color is hurt, while and armed individual who shot and killed protestors “got away” when law enforcement had him.

The cops saw him defend himself as well thats probably why they did not take him in even thou he surrendered to them. Under Wisconsin law, he has virtually no chance of successfully claiming self defense. He had illegal possession of a firearm and he entered the state and most likely provoked the encounter where he killed the first victim. This is clear 2nd degree murder at an absolute minimum.

The guy who he shot in the arm actually was pointing a glock at him. He blew his bicep clean off and the dude ran off still holding the glock. There are pictures on the internet with that guy with a big chunk of his upper arm missing and he is still holding a handgun.
Also the guy defending himself with the AR lives in Antioch IL which is only about 30 minutes from Kenosha WI, so no he did not travel 100's of miles.

There are videos of the incident before and after. There is video of rioters confronting armed citizens protecting a business. The shooter is in that video and the guy that got shot in the head is in that video too, talking a bunch of shit and calling the militia dudes, the N-word.
Back during the LA Riots you had a bunch of Korean store owners defending there businesses with sporting rifles, and liberals had no problem with it because they were not white.
Seems liberals also have no problem with antifa or blm walking around with those same rifles, when they do no one complains.
There are video's of antifa carrying AR's in the streets of Portland going back years and no one cared.
But if we have some white guys defend some businesses during a riot, they are all of the sudden right wing extremist/terrorist there to cause trouble.

Unfortunately, violence breeds violence.
If the demonstrations and protests turn violent (damaging buildings, burning cars, looting, etc.) the local law enforcement needs to begin clearing the streets and arresting those who do not leave peacefully. When that occurs, you don't see a stupid escalation to where people get shot.
We have the right to demonstrate and protest. NO one has the right to loot, burn, graffiti, break windows, etc. of someone else's property. The mayors are to blame...clear and simple.
