Some of us don't care one way or the other. I'm hoping the debates occur as that will be some of the best television we have seen in a while.

Harris will kill it in the total vote but them Swing states are all that matters and Biden is looking pretty unfuckingstable so them Midewest folks may not choose to vote for Harris.

Maybe lame to you but not lame to the undecided voter who thinks more positive of Biden since he showed up at the debates, which he will over the objections of Pelosi and others. And the Trump campaign must be wondering - should we produce the attacks ads about Biden being to scared to debate or not. And, how about the debate preparation we scheduled with Trump. Should we cancel them. Trump hates being briefed and clearly abhors debate preparation so if thinks for second that Biden wouldn't show he won't prepare. The debate is just not between Trump and Biden but Trump, Biden and moderators. If the moderators ask tough questions of Trump and he stumbles how is that going to play out?

Typically, Presidential campaigns don't kick-off until after Labor Day so I think Biden has some time before getting on the campaign trail. The more I thought about it, I believe both candidates will perform poorly at the first and second debates. Holding off on my prediction for the third. I think at least one and maybe two moderators will pepper Trump with tough questions and when he starts to bullshit them it will only get worse (witness the Axios and Chris Wallace interviews). I also think that Biden will get under Trump's thin skin in a way Hilary could never do. Biden will not show Trump any respect and that will drive Trump nuts. As for Joe, expect the usual Biden gaffes. We shall see.

The debates will happen. I dont think joe has the "think on his feet" ability to really control much. Its Trumps show to lose really and he could fuck up a bit.
Odds things starting to happen.
1) Did a lot of left wing delegates really NOT endorse the democratic platform after the DNC?
2) Last night Don Lemon saying Biden may be "too weak" to stand up to the riotors and looters and democrats are "ignoring" the issue. ( Don... actually reporting it would help )
3) Pelosi seems desperate suggesting no debates.
Seems the left is cracking as things move forward towards debates . They gonna replace joe yet?

I don't need a debate. I'm not voting for a Republican that isn't pro-choice. I don't want religious whackos and the government forcing their beliefs on me. This is supposed to be a free country.

Debates are about expectations. If you manage to exceed expectations you typically are declared the winner. This time around the expectations are pretty low for Biden and higher for Trump. Opposite of 2016 when Clinton was expected to demolish Trump.
Trump is a great showman and is terrific at rallies. But I don't think he is a particularly good debater. Wasn't impressive during the Republican primaries or the Clinton debates. Again, the expectations were very low so his performance didn't detract from the campaign. Plus the rallies gave a tremendous amount of energy to the Trump campaign. Doesn't seem to be the case this time around.
Regarding Pelosi, she was just fucking with Trump's head. She really enjoys needling Trump and she is quite effective.
Trump will not be able to control the debate like at rallies and his press conferences. For example:
Moderator: Mr. President can you opine on the state of the economy.
Trump: I created the greatest economy in U.S. history. Lowest unemployment rate ever. Great GDP growth. Wage increases and I stood up to our trading partners that were screwing us. Over the last month, I have created 14 millions jobs, the highest number ever.
Moderator: Mr. President, it is true that 14 million jobs were created over the last 3 months but we lost 22 million in the preceding months. The unemployment rate is over 11%, millions of people are unemployed, we have an eviction crisis and bankruptcies are going through the roof.
Trump: Fake new and blame the China virus.

please... uncle joe is a senile idiot who can't remember what he said from on day to the next. just in the last few months he's proven it over and over. he cant think on his feet, he can barely remember his scripted lines for the day, let alone remember them the next day. trump will ter him a new ass 3 times over in the debates, which is good because he cant remember which orifice is the original.
as far as kumla, she isnt going to be able to rattle him as easy as she did joe in the debates, before she was losing so bad that she couldnt even win in her own state! a state that biden wins by default. so what was so special about picking her over susan rice? someone who actually has experience with international relations and policy. another senile fuck up (decision) on uncle joes part...
these debates are going to be the best entertainment since jerry springer and trailer trash tv.
pelosi is over reaching her leadership authority, she has NO involvment in decidnig the debates and the details therein. it only shows overwheming fear / weakness and a lack of confidence in her nominee.
Hillary was a way better and stronger candidate that uncle joe could ever wish to be. and she wasnt much of a candidate at ALL. she no Bill and never will be, and unfortunately for her, there wasnt enough room left on coat tails for her to ride on. too many other already on their knees doing that job for decades....
