That's a black life that mattered.
Fuck colon cancer, he did good work and had more to go.
2020 keeps getting more fucked up every day.
He died way too young. He was a good actor and he made 21 Bridges watchable, along with a few other actors.
Colon cancer is what Farrah Fawcett died from in 2009.
I also remembered she passed away during the morning and she was mourned for about all of 4 hours when Michael Jackson dies the same day...then the media world was like "Farrah who??".
Why couldnt the big C take Dumb Doofy or Corndog?
You know, the worthless meat-sacks, don't take the good guys.
Sad day
Wow...That is awful news. Way too young to pass away like that!
@GBD Nobody deserves cancer (well except say Bin Laden, Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, Stalin, Pol Pot et all). Doofy might be a doofus but he I'd never wish it on him. I disagree with people vehemently on politics but its not like they deserve a long slow death. I've lost friends to war and cancer. Cancer is way more fucked up, war you either sign up for or can at least try to avoid being stuck. Cancer you at best get a "In remission" sticker which means you may or may not be fucked down the road.
@Native I agree with you on 21 Bridges. I liked thin in that film. Obviously his claim to fame was the Marvel Films but he did a superb job in his role as Black Panther there too.
Nice speech, under normal conditions I would agree with you
Let's not compare friends who've died of nasty shit
I'm so much older than you, it wouldn't even be a match-up
It's not the disagreement about politics that makes Doofy and Corndog expendable
Doofy is a mindless automaton and Corndog is a humorless poster
Both traits make them eligible for the dirt nap
Now, if you prefer a quicker method like meteor to the head or shark attack
I'm ok with that
Wouldn't want them to suffer, right?

Chadwick Boseman played Jackie Robinson in "42"
Today is Jackie Robinson Day.
Gone too soon.....
I haven't seen "42". I'm putting that on my watch list.
It was great, so was Thurgood
But then, I thought Urkel had something important to say
So, I could be wrong
He was Black Panther who was created by Jack Kirby whose birthday was August 28.
You didn't hear about Jacob Kurtzberg?
As a Jew with white privilege
He got cancelled
All his writing credits no longer exist
And, his statue on the Lower East side was demolished
^This VILLAGE IDIOT is already dead^
He's a ghost .
Just look at his network
Sorry to hear about Panther.
Does that mean there won't be a Black Panther 2
^
Bugs the crap out of you that the VI posts up so much better shit than Dumb Doofy
That's because you're dumb...... Doofy

Actually he was only 43. Portrayed Jackie Robinson. Passed away on Jackie Robinson day.
RIP CB
Dont worry, there are other black superheroes...
he played a major role in blank panther
Chadwick Boseman's death is a huge loss. Beyond being a great actor (he was amazing in 42 and in all of his films), he was a very good, kind-hearted person.
Inspiring prolific body of work in those last 4 years. (Thanks for posting his efforts in context ISoSF). I kinda got misty eyed imagining his knowing his prognosis and silently still squeezing every drop of life into his passion/work; and all the while im sitting on my fat ass munching on a breakfast burger in my boxers taking life for granted. What a great warm jovial big smile this guy had. Respect.
Very strange how Chadwick's death, Jack Kirby's birthday (his co-creator), and Jackie Robinson day all occurred simultaneously.
Jack Kirby created, and co-created several black characters for Marvel & DC comics during the civil rights movement.
I agree with you@ mildlyamusing1
its truly sad to loose your life to cancer I know Ive lost a loved one to cancer , I know its no joke and somehow no one knew this sweet kind hearted person was going through turmoil while still working ... this is truly a lost for the world he was a great demonstration of good artist and good human being Rest well Chadwick Boseman

RIP
Gone away too soon. Hope this man knew how treasured he was.
His roles inspired us to do and be better. This man could have garnered
Sympathy and support from across the world but kept it mostly within.
That is his cancer, which was kept private.
Everyone 40 or older you should consider getting a colonoscopy.
When someone tells you well they stick this scope up your ass all the way in your intestines people get totally freaked out.
It saves countless lives.
^ You don't feel a thing. You're asleep. And if everything is ok, you're good for 10 years. By all means get it done and encourage your friends and family to do it too.
agree easy peasy
except for drinking the gallon of seawater solution to make you shit and get cleaned out
i wanted to be awake so i could actually feel...
jk..they knock you out.
you might be worried about that big huge thing going in? when you are leaving the hospital...you will never know they were there...kinda feel a little chea.....
Thank You Star Fish.
Rip Chadwick Boseman
Drinking the gallon of 'seawater' is actually the worst part.
Psyllium husk daily is a good way to avoid colon cancer; keeps it clean...
And Farrah Fawcett died from anal cancer. A big difference when you consider the causes and suffering. Farrah had a miserable time of it. Enough to convert fans of Greek...
to or from?
Isn't it obvious? Farrah was a catcher, not a pitcher.
Chadwick was James Brown in 2014 biopic "Get On Up" did a great job as the 'Godfather of Soul".
You guys should check it out..Good Movie.
Dude was visiting kids battling cancer and all kinds of other illnesses in 2018 while Black Panther was out. He was there trying to inspire kids to stay strong and keep on fighting while he was silently fighting the same battles they were.
If that don't make him a real life hero I don't know what does.
Rest in Peace King ✊
Rest In Paradise, Mr Boseman...
Wakanda Forever!!
Thanks for the list Starfish. I was like "Damn"... props to anyone who can stay focused in the face of almost certain death right to the end.
seeing what he had done in 4 years, under those circumstances, made me feel like a slacker
hoping they put a book out on his journey and the fortitude he had to get thru this...the decisions and trade offs that might have been made...could help lots of people
some people get that news and pretty much quit living...this guy pushed ahead and cemented his place in hollywood in those last 4 years...his black panther character will live on in pop culture for hundreds of years
what would you want to happen if you got news like that?
say god gave you a choice-
grind out 4 years and have the results he had with the movies that will be around forever? the legend, fame and pop culture status
or
survive the cancer for 15 years (with new wife, maybe some offspring) and be just a working actor and nothing special...not a ton of money, but comfortable...no pain either.
