What matters is that if the people who died hadn't contracted Covid-19, they would still be alive. The other things you listed help determine "your chances" of dying from Covid-19.
Lastly, falsely reporting Covid1-19 on a death certificate constitutes medicare fraud and doctors would lose their licenses, but let's use that bullshit excuse to sway public opinion on the fact that the horrible Covid-19 numbers are real and show a clearly incompetent president.

Yes, the vast majority of people who die from Covid-19 are elderly and those who have underlying medical conditions. I believe the percentage of people who can have complications caused by contracting Covid-19 in the United States is close to 50% (obesity is a major risk factor, bonehead).
So, yes, staying true to Republicanism, you don't give a shit about anyone but yourself. You don't care about your family, friends, or neighbors who may have risk factors and can suffer greatly and die.
You're clearly an excellent citizen and a great human being.

According to the CDC (Feb 1- June 17 2020) when deaths
were around 100K, deaths by age were as follows:
80% were people over 65
12% were people between 55-64
8% were people under 55
about 5% between 45-54
about 2% between 35-44
about1% under 35
Trump only wanted the shutdown to last until April 12 because he knew
that a prolonged shutdown would create a lot of economic chaos.
The original purpose of the shutdown was to flatten the curve but
Dem governors continued the shutdown in order to save lives
which resulted in high unemployment and destroyed businesses.
Then they blame Trump for all the deaths and economic chaos.
Logic tells me that if the scientific data was really used, the shutdown
would have only lasted a few months and then the focus have been
placed on protecting the elderly. But that's not what many of the
Dem governors did. They choose a shutdown that still continues to this day,
when the data shows young working people are least likely to die of the virus.
FYI, 200K deaths due to Covid-19 is only 0.06% of the U.S population of 330 million.

* Vaccines typically take years to develop.
* Billions of dollars have been spent to create a vaccine for HIV/AIDS since 1985 and still no vaccine has been discovered.
* Researchers believe it is literally impossible to develop and properly test a vaccine's effectiveness and safety by the end of this year.
* Trump, who almost never says the truth, is gaslighting the nation by claiming that it is even possible to develop a vaccine that quickly simply to get re-elected.
Again, the only reason why I even respond to you fucks is not to convince you, but to highlight the misinformation and hopefully save people from killing themselves by not taking the coronavirus seriously.

Yes, vaccines often take years to create...but this is a coronavirus that has been around before, so they had a head start in understanding its cellular make up. And Trump cut all the bullshit red tape to expedite the process.
Since the Dems don't want the vaccine, I guess the Republicans can take it and move on with their lives and the Dems can stay huddled up in their basements like Sleepy Joe.

You are not mean spirited as most of the conservatives who post on the blogs here, but you're still misinformed and you are definitely not a critical thinker (I remember reading your posts for months now). You've posted statistics like these several times and it seems like you don't understand why you're posting them.
Let's say you're under 30 years old and you say to yourself: the likelihood that I would die from this is very small, so who cares about my relatives, my friends, my neighbors, my community....I will likely be fine!

Yes, the chances of a person who is younger to die of the virus is very small. But you do realize that they can still spread it to those who they interact with on a daily basis.
The problem with Covid-19 is that (1) it isn't very lethal and (2) that it is highly contagious (much more contagious than the typical flu). It would have been much better if it were very lethal because then those exposed to it would die and it would snuff itself out. That's what happened with the other coronaviruses (SARS and MERS, see linked article).
So we have a highly contagious virus that can be spread asymptomatically that "typically" kills the elderly and those with underlying medical conditions/obese. Great.
But, beyond the death toll, 50% of those who survive Covid-19 have lingering neurological symptoms that MAY NEVER GO AWAY and serious damage to nearly every organ group, including loss of taste and smell, chronic headaches, heart damage, etc.
So you should never minimize the danger of being infected with it. And you should protect yourself since you're within the group that can easily die from it.
Lastly, no one (including Biden and Democrats generally) wants to shut down the economy again, but it would be responsible to mandate mask wearing. It is a small price to pay to save lives and keep our economy open.
And I've stated this in the past: I've only registered to vote as a Republican and I am now an independent. I am not towing a party line when I've never identified as being a Democrat. Your health and safety should not be affected by politics.
