Why do you need a dozen new laptops?

Crypto Currency farm?

There's a special 200 acre National Preserve in Lompoc where laptops run free in nature and just get to be....well.....laptops. OP saved 10 lives of the quiet desperation of Excel spreadsheets, Word docs and Powerpoint death by slide.
Hooray!

I like this.. since the pandemic, I've had alot of time on my hands. I used that time to learn some new things and now I'm working with a store owner who had to close restoring Mac computers for costumers online.. I'm learning laptops at the moment... Not only that but I've seen soo much opportunity as well as failure.. in ways the good and the bad have maintained a balance, no need to get all philosophical, but it's the bright side of a tragic pandemic

Fuck that, enough already.
Tell them to just GTF out of the way.
Worthless fucking commisars

My thoughts exactly....
why buy a dozen laptops?

Funny you mentioned costumers.
I’m helping a friend of mine make custom costumes on Etsy, and learning the industry.
All of these people who go online and play and can’t get out are now craving costumes to cosplay for their video recording and tournaments.
Rising industry.

I might consider flipping!

@CM
Can you please tell me the specs on those laptops?>!

The lap tops I resell or donate. They are HP chrome laptops. I then used the profit from laptops to buy a bargain pallet from Best Buy. Purchasing a pallet is like a grab bag. It’s much more fun than Morongo tho.
I got 50 partially broken NEW laptops and miscellaneous electronics w the pallet.
Selling it on eBay and wow, people are buying it for parts for about 100 bucks each laptop! It’s an interesting journey. Taking that profit and going to an auction this week to buy more stuff.
I have a good few dozen of Astro gaming headsets w the pallet bulk as well. Ewww. Those are nasty. It’s like a gaming facility returned them used but in its crisp box. Smells like sweaty balls. People still buying it from me for a huge discount, but still making profit.

Them checks are a trap.
Didn’t touch that fake opportunity.
I know it helped many. But what’s the long term consequences?

Never understood the people that look down on those that had to take unemployment whose jobs were taken away from them. (like mine)
Yeah I took the unemployment with the bump, but then its my money, I/my employer pays taxes into it. It's what its there for.
It's not my fault the government fucked up their response to this 'Rona shit and caused entire industries to collapse overnight.
|

ZEROS,
The government didn't fuck up the response to the pandemic. It's a pandemic, it happened worldwide. And it hit the most open, central, and most traveled to country/economic power on the globe. There was no keeping it out, and there was no keeping it contained to a small number.
Any honest virologist will tell you that's the case. What you should be doing is blaming the government for not placing full economic sanctions on China for creating this virus, releasing it, and then hiding the truth about it until it had taken hold around the world and couldn't be stopped. It was economic warfare, and it was quite effective.

If u collected, I understand. You have to do what’s needed to survive when no back up plan is in place. At least now people are waking up to create their own financial freedom with something recession proof for the next wave, I hope.
|
|
So wait, you buy laptops and then flip them?
What’s the ROI? And are you adding the value of your time into the equation?
Inquiring minds have got to know the margins on this one.

Good for those of you who have the entrepreneurial spirit and drive to make the best of a rotten situation. I wish you much success.
As for anyone who looks down on and berates those who collected unemployment, STFU. I am fortunate enough to be surviving this without help, but millions are far less fortunate. They are not somehow inferior to you and your comments speak volumes about the kind of person you are. And those who say our current administration didn't botch its response to COVID is simply wrong and spouting partisan rhetoric. Other countries faced the same pandemic and did a much better job of keeping it from spreading anywhere near as much as here in the USA. We are continuing to pay the price for electing politicians who adore partisan power over patriotism.

I will bet Sherkin has a lot of cats.

@ Yellow... Yes, the virus is real but the messaging is bull shit! There is no reason we should have shut things down as the idiot politicians did...
Yes, older people, people with pre-existing health issues should have been careful and quarantined them selves. The rest of us should never been locked down to the degree we have been.
So the message from MSM and politicians is bull shit and some of fuck heads should be locked up in jail for what they have done!
|

You would have to be blind to not see that the federal govt fucked up the response to this.
You had 50 different states doing 50 different things and you expect a coherent message to come from that?
From jump street the Fed should have placed moratoriums on all bills, paid people to stay home and have grocery store days like the 1970's gas rationing days, where you had your number for the week. Do that for a couple months and I bet we would be fully open by now.
|
|
ZERO - Do you have any idea how business/economics works? You do what you suggest and the country would have been destroyed!
|
|
Thats pretty much what they did in Italy and other EU countries and they didn't get destroyed.

"From jump street the Fed should have placed moratoriums on all bills, paid people to stay home and have grocery store days like the 1970's gas rationing days, where you had your number for the week. Do that for a couple months and I bet we would be fully open by now."
Actually doing the above won't allow us to open earlier. The only thing that will allow us to open early is a vaccine.
Doing the above would have reduced the amount of disease we had.
Wearing masks will help to reduce the amount of disease.
BUT, opening depends on a vaccine.
