Too much reading.

I was always partial to Mandalay Bay’s. Had a little bar right behind it I could watch the game and chat with others. And a sushi bar close by that I could get some food from when I got too tipsy. It’s been many years since I’ve gone though..

I thought this was going to be about sports books like A Civil War: Army vs. Navy by John Feinstein (almost everything by Feinstein is great) or Seabiscuit by Laura Hillenbrand. But no, its about Sportsbooks in Vegas. Cool, I can pivot, The Stardust was the Gold Standard back in the day. They actualy had a research room with a multitude of information to help inform your selections. Long live The Stardust. I prefer off strip places like Southpoint which has a separate Race Book. Red Rock is nice as well.

Informative and moving at the same time.

Off strip definitely. Good dive spots that are slightly smoky like Boulder Station or Sams Town. No tourists screwing everything up
