I always use more than just the tip. Mostly because I'm just not large enough.

I tip my barista girls very well. Got a thing for the girl at Nectar too.
I always give personal tips from time to time for a few girls.
A few weeks ago at one of the starbucks i started tipping a cute new coed barista. I gave her a few personal tips beyond what I put in the standard tip jar.
A week so later im in starbucks waiting for my drink and some young guy starts hassling me for the exact amount of money I top this chick. I tell him to make a sign and sit by the freeway... pissed him off to say the least.
Not sure if he was another barista or the girls BF but he didnt like that I'm giving her some cheddar on the sly..
I forgot to tell her mum's the word and life is good.
