i would like to see how they get these 30000 to vote...you know, for paying off their debt.
i doubt they are paying it for nothing

The Constitution basically says citizens 18 and older can vote. And there is a provision against poll taxes.

Good for him. Change has been way too long coming. Every free American of voting age who wants to vote should be able to vote. And every vote should count.

yes, to me, this is just another form of a poll tax which is devised to disenfranchise poor people
I believe in a democracy you must allow everyone to vote or how can you claim authority over people if they can't have any say in the process of making or changing laws. Of course these people are probably all anti authoritarian, butt so what? Let every body vote and majority rules

“Let every body vote and majority rules”
1. At some point we decided that when you commit a felony, you forfeit your right to participate in society in certain ways. I think the law should be changed. I don’t think that should be a “life sentence.” Once you “have paid your debt to society”, I believe voting privileges I be reinstated.
I also think we should change laws... not try to find ways to circumvent them.
2. We live in a representative democracy.... majority doesn’t “rule”... and God help us if it ever does.

Yes. Especially when felonies in many states concern only marijuana.
