1) implants have a shelf life so to speak - You should have them replaced after 10 years
2) results vary greatly - choose your surgeon with great care
3) many complain of feeling pain or numbness for years, especially when touched or sucked

Thanks guys .. it’s just personal preference I’ve wanted them for a long time

When an ex had hers done, we went to Palms Spring for surgery, On the way back home, even the small lane markers made her scream in pain, And I'm thinking "How the fuck am I gonna get us home without changing lanes"..but we made it home in slow lane with flashers on...few weeks later she was flashing them to everyone on the back of my Harley..

I love how everyone is like "I love your tits now, don't touch them"
She didn't fucking ask, dudes, save your .02 cents for your late night Taco Bell runs.

As for what to expect? It really depends on the type of procedure, implant and change in size. It can take up to 6 months for swelling to completely subside and 1-2 years before the implants "settle". So prepare yourself for a couple of limbo phases. Do limit your activity. Don't go back to work for 4-6 weeks, it's not worth it. Stay hydrated, eat a healthy diet while you're healing and don't go hard on the percocet. God speed.

"getting my boobs done the end of the week..
What should I expect?"
Covid? And lifelong lung disease?
|
|
@Juiicyfruitbri good luck! It's cool how you graciously accepted comments in the spirit that they were intended.
Meanwhile, Karen....

What to expect?
How about guys staring at your tits while talking to you, instead
Of looking in your eyes.
|
|
Lmao I love how it's always someones first move to call a woman Karen.
Big applause.
Let me help you out, though, a Karen, is a typically reserved for uppity white women. Which I am not. If you're going to insult me, make it make sense, love.
Secondly, it's cute that you think her refusal to clap back over opinions that SHE DIDN'T ASK FOR is "gracious". Because it is pretty gracious.
And Covid and Lung Disease? Where do you even come from with this logic?

You do what ever you want ... it's your body.
But please make sure you familiarize yourself with ALL the side effects.
Ex. - A friend of mine went 3 years before she finally figured out her body was rejecting her implants, she'd had them for 8 years or so. No doctor she went to, and she went to several like 5 or 6, could figure out the problem until she actually read an article about it and the symptoms lined up, and were all her symptoms. She had her implants removed and she was back to normal within 3 months. It's very unknown among doctors.
Just saying.

How big are you going? The bigger the implant the more stretch your body is going to have to give and the more pressure you’ll feel on your chest. I have a crazy pain threshold so I took the pain meds the first couple of days and then was fine. Everyone is different, though. I did stay in bed lying flat for about two weeks after surgery. However, I had a very different surgery than a routine breast augmentation so I would think you’d be good to go after a week. Talk to your doctor and just keep your physical activity to a minimum. And wear the wrap. It’s so important.

Consider long term effects as well. The FDA recommends that you discuss the potential risks with your doctor, which include:
1. the potential need for additional surgeries
2. anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL)
3. systemic symptoms, commonly referred to as breast implant illness
4. the development of scar tissue that compresses the implant
5. breast pain
6. implant rupture or deflation
7. infection.
According to Dr. Andrea Pusic, Joseph E. Murray Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, ALCL is often relatively easy to detect. Most women with the condition will have fluid buildup around the implant, which causes the breast to swell. Others will feel a lump in their breast.
"If it's detected, successful treatment for ALCL often consists of surgery alone. The implant is surgically removed along with the capsule of tissue that forms around the implant," says Dr. Pusic. In most cases, that will be the extent of treatment. But a smaller number of women also need follow-up chemotherapy or radiation, she says.
While doctors are no longer using these textured implants, some women still have them, and they are advised to monitor their breasts for changes. But they do not need to have the implants removed unless they experience a problem
