Trump was totally coward in refusing to blame White Supremacists for causing violence while making everything responsible against Antifa, which is nothing but a loosely organized group.

It was very painful to watch the debates due to Trump's tactic to causing chaos to the debate, that has been the case of his whole presidency. Period.
We voters don't want any of this in the middle of pandemic and economic downturn. Trump is solely responsible for this nonsense.

Trump came across with a much larger presence than Biden because he was full of testosterone, energetic, and loud. He said things that sounded very good on the surface, but, what he said usually didn't stand up to careful analysis. Biden had much less energy than Trump, and I wonder what the average voter will think of that. I don't feel he was very effective, just echoing traditional Democratic talking points. Biden didn't appear to have the ability to improvise on the spot. I'm not sure he was very effective countering Trump when Trump would cut in and trash him, even though the substance of what Trump said was usually questionable. I honestly feel that Chris Wallace at times hit Trump more effectively than Biden. And that's not a good thing.
Not sure either candidate won this debate.

where were the fact checkers? When Biden said Trump called people in the military loosers... give Biden credit cuz he sold that bullshit. I don’t think Trump did a good job of defending himself on those points.
Trump needs to be quiet and let Biden make the mistakes. If he does same thing in next debate it’s going to be a lot closer than it should be.

@NR - that "to hot", out of control performance may have played well with the Trump base but it was a total turn-off for suburban voters, particularly woman, and seniors. He needs to do well with those groups to win the election and he did nothing to gain any momentum with them in the debate. His refusal to condemn white supremacists isn't going to help with minority voters. The debate was an opportunity for Trump to gain some steam but I think it was a lost opportunity for him. Even Chris Christie, who prepped Trump, said Trump fucked up. The only people that were satisfied with Trump's performance were Trump himself ("greatest performance ever"), Trump Jr. (he gets yelled at by DJT if he doesn't go on Fox and rave how well dad did), white supremacists, Nazi's and, probably, some of the right-wing lunatics (RWL) on this site.
@PA970, the unemployment numbers are a total fraud. Just like Trump's position in 2013-2016 when he said that Obama's DOL cooked the numbers. The unemployment rate doesn't count people that have given up looking for jobs. I think the real unemployment rate is closer to 15%. Only an idiot would believe the national unemployment rate is 8.4%. That is why both Pelosi and Mnuchin are so desperate to reach a deal since they know how bad it is.

That debate was a disaster. I don't think either side came out a winner.
