The best places are the ones in the back corner of the strip malls

I like the local chains. When they get too big, they start having quality control issues.

Locals are much better than chains alway , unfortunately they both as risky for eating in.

I'm definitely a stay at home and cook my own food these days. Most restaurants load way too much fat and sodium in all their dishes anyway. Totally unhealthy.

I have one of those food box delivery's every week.
Home Chef has been good to me. That and Butcher Box has this house eating very well!

I agree that's why I've asked everyone for their favorite restraunts on HX. One thing about everyone here on HX is that they have awesome suggestions for local fare ( and smart ass answers 😁)

I’ve got a few good Mexican joints that I enjoy. I’ve avoided chains since everything is just sad now. Some pizza chain places also suck. Surprisingly, not little Caesars. they are still good lol.

Cause there are a bunch of new employees that don't know what they are doing yet. Give it a month.

Restaurants are I see a lot of pressure, and they have to cut some corners to stay afloat.
I approve of restaurants that bust their ass with great service and greAt food, but many of my tried and true are slacking.

I agree cooking at home is the way to go but that is hard to do when you are rarely there!!!

I do love when I stay at like a Residence Inn but even thier kitchens are lack and fewer and fewer hotels have coffee machines and microwaves anymore ☹️

at least the residence inn has a decent refrigerator. I always stay there when on the road in scottsdale or nor cal

Texas Roadhouse at least by me kept their quality and portions. Even their take out/pick up options didn't change that.

That's a fair point. Depends on the staff. I got lazy this morning and went to the local Denny's for breakfast. The short order cook there was a pro like he worked at a 5 star before (sadly that might have been true).
Still a fan of local small business (or small chains...two maybe three restaurants)

I agree and I love little Mom and Pop shops they are the best.

It's not just you. They suck. Time to start cooking more often. It could be a new hobby.
