I totally get that and women have the same things going on with themselves but it’s no need to be rude to people especially if I’ve never been rude or done anything to you.

Well hopefully you are never rude to me because honestly I’m never rude to anybody regardless of the situation and when I signed up for this it wasn’t a shit hole and then actually cared about women on here and treated them with the upmost respect.

Given that you posted this after our recent PM exchange, should I perhaps share that with the rest of the HX community so they can determine who was being rude again?

Or maybe they have their preferences and aren't interest in every woman who contacts them out of the blue wanting something or other. IMHO HX would be far more useful if we could just block accounts in the "People" section if a cursory view of their profile makes it clear we're not interested. This wouldn't reflect in any type of negative Safety or Karma rating, but it would be a convenient way of making sure that the same 25 or 50 profiles of people who I would NEVER have any interest in contacting, simply don't appear when I do a search. It would be doubly effective if that resulted in a two-way blocking so those same people don't ever see my profile either. Just my $0.02 worth.

I don't think you intended to be rude. I completely get your response because I too have a no bullshit approach (what do you want? why am I being bothered right now?). Could you have been nicer? Sure. But people tell me I should be nicer all of the time and I tell them it's not my job to coddle their balls, so.....
I agree with you that Allison was a bit oversensitive (by bit I mean way oversensitive). I also would never contact a man without invitation. I may flirt, but direct contact? Nah. You know why I'm here. You know what I've got. There's no need to fish in folks inboxes.
Here's my closing:
Allison, if you think that women in this line of activities have ever been on the receiving end of the utmost respect, you are sadly mistaken. You have to draw your boundaries and gauge your sensitivity accordingly. If you want respect, demand it. If you don't get it, move on. It's not something that's just given and it sure as shit isn't given out liberally here.

99% of the PMs I receive from initial contact are dudes asking about my experience about a person. Not gonna lie, it gets annoying with so many sometimes, but I’m not gonna tell anyone that I’m annoyed.

I could never understand why one would waste time on that type of stuff. I was already up to my ass in core subject matter as an undergrad chemical engineering major, I certainly didn't have time to waste on touchie-feelie stuff like that. Seems people can come up with all sorts of wonderful theories about how things work when they don't actually have to prove their assumptions with any type of testing or research.

it's called required coursework in a well rounded education. General Education requirements.
1 year of lab science.
1 year of behaviorial science.
2 years of math, 2 years of English, etc.
every school has them.

IIRC Macroeconomics counted as a "behavioral science" at Cal, and economics is actually something useful.

Not meaning to block you personally, you can post your opinion all day for all I care. It would be nice however to have some type of scorecard for drama queens so HX can institute a
"No Drama" setting allowing individuals to block people who seem to be offended by everything.

Most people From California are dicks. I think it's the traffic, the constant weather and high stress of the way we live here.
