Locked. No further comments permitted.Trump conducts our country similar to his failed casinos

Why would anyone think a guy whose casinos have ended up as massive failures in financial turmoil would run the country well?

I think you have to be an incredibly stupid or uninformed/misinformed person to be a Trump supporter at this point.

Like I said in another thread:

6 bankruptcies...

Out of 500 total businesses. A failure rate of 1.2%.

Startups fail at a rate of 20% in the first year, 30% in the second year, and 50% by year 5.

1.2%. The guy is good...real good!

Look at the pre-Covid numbers and the overall economy - then decide who is better for the job.

IMO - Trump's problem is he doesn't know when to STFU.
Other than that... he's got my vote.

Gotta love the lame stream media. Watching World News Tonight the other night and that partisan hack Jonathan Karl is talking about the treatment Trump is getting. Then he says that the treatment he is receiving is generally reserved for more serious cases....

Uh, wake up dipshit, this is the POTUS you are talking about. Dislike him and his politics but anyone who feels the president should get anything other than the best treatment available is stupid.

Thanks for proving my point about incredibly stupid or uninformed/misinformed Trump supporters. You must have graduated from Trump University.

The massive deficit under Trump is going ruin this country.

He has owned 1 casino

AND

heres the story:

Seriously.................................... this is why you need to just at least do a google search before you: THINK, AND DECIDE SOMETHING. MAY it be you think about something you now believe or you think and decide you want to talk about that "something"

In 1988, Trump purchased the unfinished Taj Mahal property from Resorts International for $230 million after negotiations with Merv Griffin in which the two men divided the assets of the failing company.[5] The casino, at the time the largest in Atlantic City, would eventually cost almost $1 billion by the time it opened in 1990. Trump completed the project using junk bonds, a decision that hurt the company afterward as the gaming industry struggled in a recession and interest rates became unmanageable.[6][7]

The company was shaken by the deaths of three key executives in an April 10, 1989 helicopter crash in northern New Jersey while they were returning from a New York press conference promoting an upcoming Atlantic City boxing event. The men were Steven F. Hyde, the CEO of Trump's casino operations, Mark Grossinger Etess, the president and chief operating officer of the Taj Mahal, and Trump Plaza executive vice president Jonathan Benanav.[8]

Predictions

* Trump is going to lose the election in a landslide if he doesn’t drop out or die first.

* There is going to be a blue tidal wave where Dems take the Senate; the Republican Party will suffer it’s greatest losses in the party’s history.

* If Trump doesn’t die from Covid (he hasn’t been seen nice the balcony stunt Monday evening) he will be prosecuted and will go to jail (if he doesn’t flee to Moscow first). He will be prosecuted for tax fraud and possibly treason. Boris Johnson and Bolsonaro will both be ousted as well.

* Populism will be identified as Putin’s way of influencing counties in his new Cold War against the West. Brexit will also be credited to Putin.

* Over the next few years, the full extent of Trump’s corruption will be revealed. Proud conservatives who supported him will claim to have been deceived (despite Dems attempting to out Trump as the conman he always was for the past 4 years).

* Social media will be heavily regulated to prevent another Trump from gaining power and from other countries meddling in US politics.

* Cable news ratings will plummet after not having a constant shitshow of a presidency on TV every fucking day.

* Covid will finally be controlled mid to late 2021, but only after 600,000 Americans die from It. Normalcy will be achieved in 2022. Had Trump acted more quickly, less than 100,000 Americans would have died and trillions of dollars of lost economic value would have been averted. Trump will be identified as the worst thing that has every happened to the American economy and the country in general.

* luv.bj will still argue that Trump was a great president (despite continually looking like a complete fool).

* Kimberly Guilfoyle will become a popular porn star.

@ GinaGalaxy

A realtor sells real estate. A developer builds.

Trump hasn’t built many of the buildings that bear his name. He gets a few for real developers putting his name on their buildings.

Trump was repeatedly bailed out by his father (illegally) when he owned the Taj Mahal be intentionally losing money there to prop up the casino until Trump filled for bankruptcy.

Trump has to personally guaranty his loans, which suggests he’s not nearly as rich as he claims to be. Normally, assets are put up as collateral for loans; most real estate billionaires never provide guaranties.

I can go on, but bottom line: Trump is widely known to be a conman in real estate circles. Those who know nothing about real estate idolize him as being a savvy businessman. He just isn’t.

I am always amused by people who are too dumb to realize just how dumb they are. You constantly embarrass yourself in these blogs, but you’re too stupid to realize that. That what makes your dangerous.

Now go drink some bleach so that you can protect yourself from covid (***luv.bj, that was a joke...don’t drink bleach. It won’t help you against covid despite what Trump says***).

@luv.bj

This is the last time I’ll respond to you, at least today.

I don’t like CNN as much as MSNBC because CNN is focused mostly on opinion programming and I prefer more news-based programs.

I don’t think CNN intentionally lies for Dems, but they do make mistakes and they are obviously skewed to the left. I think they want to be as credible as they can be and they do want to report accurately.

Conversely, Fox News (except for Chris Wallace, who I think is honest and admirable) and ONS are mostly right wing propaganda. Most of what they report is flat out lies truly Fake News, especially since they almost always report what Trump says without questioning it. They were complicit in promoting lies about Covid that resulted in tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths. Trump did collude with Russia and should have been impeached.

The right is fighting for its life to stay relevant in a changing world. This is the beginning of the end of the Republican Party as it now stands.

I’ll add my 2 cents.

Reuter’s, NPR, BBC, Associated Press and other international news sites more often than not confirm that the current GOP leadership and structure is a house of cards about to fall down. Even the Israeli news outlets are turning on Trump due to his actions of the recent weeks.

Again, just regurgitating the liberal lie. Trump did actually act quickly, and was immediately called out as racist by the left. Remember Pelosi saying "everything is fine, come to San Francisco". And Schumer saying "everything is fine, come to New York". Then, when they realized everything was not fine, they started screaming that Trump did nothing...

Sorry but you can't have it both ways. Except when the media is 95% liberal, they just keep repeating bullshit over and over and they know that the gullible masses will believe what they are told.

You can say that if Trump had acted more quickly (hint, he did) that less than 100k would have died.... Really? And how do you know that? Just more BS.

TC - so for the upcoming election??

THAT should be the decision of who would have done better with the pandemic...unfortunately, it won't be that. IT will just be that trump's job was not good enough...even though Biden would have fucked it up 3times as much

NOT sure that point can be made properly in this environment, before the election

it's a sick feeling

And no, I am NOT a fan of Trump. Did not even vote for him in 2016, although I obviously did not vote for lying Hillary. A vote for a Repub in CAL is just a wasted vote so I voted 3rd party, like that really made a point....

Trump is a bombastic narcissist and if he would have just kept his mouth shut and acted even slightly presidential the last 3+ years would have been re-elected in a landslide. Given the economy (pre-COVID, black unemployment or lack thereof, etc). But no, he couldn't do that and thus the media has been doing everything possible to sway the election against him.

Unfortunately I suspect that the media influence will work and likely take the senate as well. God help us with no checks and balances if the left controls the white house and both houses of congress.

Biden is a pawn. He has accomplished exactly nothing in 47 years but that is not the point. Get him in, take the Senate and have Harris slide into the drivers seat with Pelosi and Schumer and look out.

I think it is a valid point to compare his business success/failure with his Presidency. His approach to the Presidency is the same as he runs his business. Why would he do anything different? That is how he was raised and trained by his father. It was all about being successful at any cost. His father was successful in business, but not a good person. Donald is not a successful businessman and is also not a good person. Unfortunately, if Biden wins I don't expect much from him either. We're stuck with two bad candidates.

In Search of... that is a great point but what is to be done at this point?

Trump has been great for the country but he is also a buffoon. And this has only encouraged the media to repeat lies and make stuff up and again, a large portion of our country is too simple minded to think for themselves and thus they believe 'Orange man bad...' because the leftist media tells them so...

@Rizzo-

I agree and that is sad...

In this amazing country of ours, with all of the amazing people that we have, Trump and Biden are the best we can come up with? That just sucks...

I am just hopeful that even though Biden leads in the polls that a lot of people come election day say "ehhh, not too exited to go vote for that old guy".

I remember many years ago when Lee Iaccoca was considered for for POTUS. He would not run and why would he? But he would have been head and shoulders over whoever did run.

We have hundreds, maybe thousands of eminently qualified individuals in this country who would be terrific picks for president. But with our current 2 party system only lemmings like Biden get considered. (Trump was an aberration - nobody expected him to win...)

It blows my mind when people claim thatTrump did all he could to fight Covid. He did not close the country quickly. He did limit those who can get in from China to 40,000 expatriates, which is an insane number. So thousands then flew from China to Europe and then came in through NY/NJ, which is why they were hit so badly.

What didn’t happen was a national mask wearing mandate, PPEs were not ordered effectively on a federal level (states were forced to fend for themselves driving the prices up dramatically), and Trump never created a unified and coherent testing and contact tracing program.

The US has 4% of the world’s population, yet 20% of all Covid cases...the worst record of any developed country in the world.

Lastly, Trump continues to diminish the danger and severity of Covid even after he and two dozen of his administration got infected by it.

It is insane to even suggest Trump has done everything he could to slow the spread of Covid and prevent Americans from dying. It seems like he wants people to die so long as the economy is kept open. The economy would largely be open by now had he taken the steps to protect the American people.
