No Presidential filter needed...
He speaks the unfortunate truth.

What happens to the Republican party if Trump loses, the Senate turns Dem and the Dems keep the House? Remain the party of Trumpism and write-off the election as an anomaly due to COVID-19? Fracture into Trumpite and traditional Republican wings? Coalesce around Pence, Christie? Rubio? Cotton? Is the party stuck with Trumpism? After the 2012 election, the party leadership issued an "autopsy" report that recommended softening stands on immigration and making a broader appeal to minorities. Clearly, the opposite happened. Does the party go back to the 2012 recommendations?

with the little scenario of the dems getting the senate, the white house and keeping the house? WTF does it matter what the pubs do? they B done forever
the inroads into the black and browns was growing a bit...then hit by the pandemic...we shall see if it made a difference...4 more years of trump and it's possible they start approaching numbers that keep them in the game each election
it was said that a 12 percent black vote would wrap up the election...not with the defections of the seniles and white bitches, but the recent brown gains can help offset that
maybe puerto rico can bail him out...he got the governor endorsement, so there's that little ace in the shit hole
here are two more votes...few more to go...beautiful black couple...kicking ass and taking names

I believe everything you say USB. You sound so smart and knowledgeable!

Charlie Hurt is a fucking idiot. As the Fox interviewer pointed out, the Dem strategy is to keep the focus on Trump (and not them). Hurt quickly realized what he said made no sense. The Dems are pushing back against being overconfident considering what happened in 2016. That is a lot different than being desperate.
The Dems may have overdosed on TDS but the hard right has a surplus of dogma genes. At least, Buckley and Will could be analytical and thoughtful.

If Demon-crats were so sure they were winning, they wouldn't be spending so much time and energy trying to convince conservatives that they are winning.

Uh OH!

"I have repeatedly said President Trump should STFU. He is combative. He instigates. He stirs the shit when he could let it settle. But... he isn’t alone. Nancy and Chuck play the game too. Where Trump is different than any other president in modern times is he responds to attacks in real time without a “Presidential filter.” That is one of the things some people like and many hate about him"
The difference between KS and me is that his issue with Trump is limited to STFU, and mine is far beyond that, which I already described it in the previous blog.
We have to refresh our memory. Before 2016 presidential election, Republicans (not Democrats) are the ones who really bad mouthed about Trump as shown in this NYT article ("More than 160 republican leaders don't support Donald Trump. Here's when they reached their breaking point")
The names of the list are too many, but a few of them for example; Jeff Flake, Cory Gardner, Mike Lee, John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, .....
Christine Todd Whitman said "Trump is employing the kind of hateful rhetoric and exploiting the insecurities of this nation...."
William F Buckly said "Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations...."
Ben Sasse said "A presidential candidate who boasts about what he'll do during his reign and refuses to condemn the KKK cannot lead a conservative movement in America"
I can quote more if you would like, but I believe the above comments are enough. Those comments were heard over and over during past four years of his presidency. And the those who used to be republicans (Lincoln Project members) are basically saying the same things against Trump. Lindsay Graham said about Trump before 2016 election; "Trump is a race baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot"
The problem with republicans is that they all shut their mouth after Trump was elected.
What Lindsay Graham said after impeachment trial very symbolic about what happened to republican senators; he said "he never approved Trump before he was elected"..."but (he) accepted the fact (that Trump is the president) (because Americans elected him).

That is just Biden being Biden. Typical Biden gaffe. He said stupid shit when he was 40 and 50 and 60 and he is not stopping when he is 70. Kinda like when the military had to remind Trump that China was actually in Asia not Europe and Germany was our enemy in WWII and a nuclear war will annihilate the planet.
At least, the Dems have esteemed doctors that offer their professional opinion as well-trained physicians that Trump is a sociopath. And his niece has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Who the fuck is Ali Alexander other than a two bit Internet hack. He has no professional training to make a diagnosis of Biden. I'm sure that USB believes that most of Trump's brain cells are gone based on the interview with the Fox medical consultant when Trump blasted out "Red, Blue, Green, TV, Porn Start I banged to prove he was cognitively superior. But, USB doesn't offer a public diagnosis that Trump is freakin nuts although the majority of the country believes so.

How can anyone actually believe what any of the so called polls say.
They were 100% wrong last time we did this, and you trust them now?
|
|
The polls weren't 100% wrong at all. First, each poll has a margin of error associated with it. In 2016, the margin of error all went in Trump's favor. The polls weren't fucked up, the problem is with morons who don't understand what polling data means. More so with folks who could not believe that Trump could not win even though the late polls showed a narrowing race and a very unpopular Clinton. The polls were relatively on spot regarding the popular vote; they just got the battleground states wrong, which if you understand polling variance makes sense. If 70,000 voters had gone the other way in WI, MI and PA, Clinton would have been elected. Your probability of dying from COVID-19 far exceeds the extremely small swing that would have brought victory to Clinton.

And joke Biden also said to go to a website that doesn't exist😂😂😂😂😂there were more Trump supporters at his rally than his supporters

Rahcrener... I appreciate you quoting conservatives who are not part of our conversation....
I see you conveniently ignored my request about our exchange. Here...I’ll remind you again.
“I got your point, but you also said you don't blame trump either for the current political climate under Trump administration” -Rahcrener.
Where and when did I say that?
I’ll wait.....

Still waiting....

at waiting on Rahcrener, guy's an unthinking partisan hack
Love when all the idiots foretell the death of one of these parties, if only...........
Both Dems and Reps have been called dead many times before, then they figure out how to get in front of some parade of idiots.
If you dumb fucks could think beyond your next blowjob, you might consider giving both parties the heave ho
'scuse me, i gotta go find my next blowjob

To: KS
I apologize for my delayed response. I did look for your comments that I remember reading it, but I was unable to find the exact comment you have made so far, and my job made me too busy on top of that.
Instead of going any further for your inquiry, I would simply quote what you said about Trump's covid policies and what he accomplished since the beginning of this epidemic. You and NR had conflicting views over Trump did for containing the virus.
You have said; "Gavin Newsome has controlled California's "Corona Virus strategy" since day one....But YOU are not more at risk because of Trump"
Also you said "I understand people hate Trump. And I accept the truth about his shortcomings...but ...you also have to give him credit for his successes"
"If you remember (if you don't google it) Trump was providing support for the individual states. Then he began to advocate for re-opening.... and the governors told him, "you can't tell us what to do"
From the above statements, it is obvious that you defend Trump and blame Newsome for what happened in California. And that for me you are neglecting several important points that NR made and that alone indicates that your opinions are clearly biased towards Right propaganda.
First of all I would like to remind you again that Trump already knew how dangerous and easily transmittable the virus is at the beginning of January. Despite that he repeatedly downplayed the danger to public and he continues to do so even after he became infected (spending tax payer's money of about $100,000 on his treatment using the latest drugs available only to him). That fact was exposed by Bob Woodward if you could remember (that was not a long ago).
Second of all, each state was forced to fight with the virus with shortage of PPE, ventilators so on... and for PPE, each state had to fight with federal government in order to purchase them, because White house was too busy getting their own national stockpile inventory from the same company that each state was trying to purchase. I hope you remember NY governor Cuomo complained about it number of times during the crisis around April-May.
Third, Trump knew all the facts about the virus, he never used his power as a president to mandate mask wearing and social distance, which is very important and common sense knowledge that both are minimum but effective way to protect yourself and not infecting others, especially elderly people.
Fourth, Trump could have imported the virus test kits from WHO (German made them and they were reliable), but he refused to do so and waited in vain for CDC.
Fifth, he blamed China and WHO, and he walked away from the international cooperation and stopped contributing to WHO, which I believe is a crime against humanity.
Sixth, he repeatedly interfered with CDC and tried to change the original guidelines that CDC researchers made for public, because he and his white house staff thought it is too rigid to apply and his aim was to open up the economy as soon as possible so that wall street won't collapse and does not affect his 2020 election. The matter of fact his only concern was his election, and that is why he downplayed the danger of the virus over and over until now.If he were more concerned about people's lives rather than his own interest, he never made such mistakes, and he could have gained more popularity among his base.
In conclusion, your argument on the defense of Trump administration is too simplified in its argument and ignored so many detailed and it is very much biased.
Lastly, I will quote what Olivia Troye, who was the first Trump administration official to work extensively on the coronavirus response, but she resigned to protest against Trump administration.
The following are the quotes from Washington Post: Former Pence aide says she will vote for Biden because of Trump's flat out disregard for human life during pandemic"
"President Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic showed a flat-out disregard for human life, because his main concern was the economy and his reelection"
"The president's rhetoric and his own attacks against people in his administration trying to do the work, as well as the promulgation of false narratives and incorrect information of the virus have made this ongoing response a failure"
"Trump was not focused on the virus but would often "blindeslide" the task force and administration officials with public comments, such as his support for the drug hydroxychloroquine, his twitter attack on the CDC over the agency's guidance on the reopening schools, his skeptical comments about masks and his public musings about herd immunity. Many of his comments were the opposite of what had been discussed in the Situation Room... and were odds with scientific recommendations or the administration's own data"
"The administration missed months to slow the spread of the virus because of the president and other key administration officials refused to embrace masks, even as members of the task force and health officials "repeatedly begged Trump to do"
"The mask issue was a critical one. If we would have gotten ahead on that and stressed the importance of it, we could have slowed the spread significantly...it was detrimental that it became a politicized issue. It still lingers today"
"Advisers were afraid to express positions contrary to the president's views because they feared a public denunciation or that they would be cut out " (the same principles apply to most of Republican senators=my comment)
"The white house did not quickly resolve problems with coronavirus testing in the early months as the virus spread"
"Trump rarely attended the task force meetings...briefed only on top level discussions...When Trump attended one meeting, he spoke for 45 minutes about how poorly he was being treated by certain personalities on Fox News"
I believe I made enough points here, so I will stop.
|
|
For GB comments, I will just ignore it, because his character very much resembles with Trump. He is not logical, lacks sensibility, and the only thing he is good at is to attack other HX members with his ugly comments, and it does not accomplish anything other than showing how he is in person
|
|
And I thank you uncle Bob for helping me out here. Too many illogical Republicans here in HX.

"Trump is so incompetent that Biden is the first democrat to lead in the senior vote in over twenty years lol"
Sounds great, keep it going until the election.
|

Greed and arrogance at the expense of American citizens' lives, that is all I see in the current Republican politics.

^Unthinking partisan hack
Ignore all you like, doesn't make you any less a progressive idiot
As if Dems are any less greedy than Reps.
Over 275 tax increases proposed in the upcoming vote
I wonder who's trying to get our money.

Again, Mr. Rahcrener, your desire to make me a Trumpee leads you down the wrong path... and again... attribute things to me that are not true.
I clearly believe Gavin Newsom is responsible for California’s COVID strategy... but to characterize it as “blame” makes it sound like I am being critical of him. I am not.
I am not a Newsom fan... and his raspy voice makes me want to punch him in the face... but he was dealt a shitty hand. I think he is doing the best he can. Were there some missteps? Absolutely. Do I think all of his plans were the right course? No. But I don’t “blame” anybody. COVID is nothing like we have faced in modern times. We (they) were making it up as we go. There was no “playbook.” The information has been shifting since the beginning. What works? What doesn’t. How do you catch it? How do you prevent it? Where did it originate? Etc... Many of those answers changed this week, 8 months in.
Anyone that has the balls to step up an lead during tumultuous times like these gets my respect. Even if they make a bad call... I’ll say it was a bad call... but I appreciate their willingness to do a really hard job.
So... I didn’t vote for Newsom. Pretty sure I won’t vote for him in the next cycle... but I’m not going to kick dirt on the guy just because he and I look at the world... and the solutions to our problems, differently.
I’ll leave that to all the internet partisans, trolls and prognosticators.
Unlike many here... I don’t give politicians my heart. They don’t get my passion. All they get is my vote. They all have... and will disappoint me.

" If you had a functioning brain above warm eggplant you would understand that ridding the US of our two party system is a fools errand when a majority faggots over party over the other and support for a third party never cracks over 10%, minus Ross Perot"
Fucking idiot forgot that there have been other elections where a third party candidate has affected the final balance. Besides which, your statement basically concedes that you need Republicans to stick around.....as long as they remain a minority party forever, lol
A warm eggplant would be considered an Einstein next to you.
Happens every time to you dumb fucks, you win a few, get over confident, try to go too far, then those of us in the middle get sick of your shit and vote the other side in.
Just as Trump fatigue set in quickly, no doubt Biden.....er, rather president Harris fatigue will set in pretty quickly and we'll have to dump her fat stupid ass for the next party hack.
Fucking predictable......

KS, gonna disagree with you on Babbling Nuisance
I mean, his voice makes me wanna punch him too
And, yes....every politician has been dealt a shitty Covid sandwich
But, it's how they've responded that makes the difference.
Nuisance doesn't even have a color that gets anyone out of the shit zone, even counties that have had almost no cases and no deaths. Other governators have done a better job. Cuomo still gets the prize as worst mass murderer since Pol Pot.
