We can't ever seem to escape. Our professional sporting events are now political commentaries by the athletes, our theater (Hamilton, etc.) has political messages spoken by the cast, our late night talk show hosts spend more time discussing politics (anti-Trump) than providing 'entertainment'.
All of Hollywood and professional sports have dropped off the political deep end and no longer afford ANY escape for their customers.
^Jeez, Jazz. You do the same thing. Most of the stuff that comes out of your mouth is political commentary.
And yours as well...when you aren't bitching about Covid, but that is political as well.
No one is paying me for 'entertainment'.
It's fine for getting the daily RNC and DNC talking points, and to see old old guys wasting their day posting, when no minds have ever been changed here.
MSM no longer covers 'news'. There is more than Anti-Trump in our world.

Having political blogs makes the community divisive and hostile. It brings no added value. It literally is repetitive rhetoric of the major news media. By which I am referring to Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc.
Should there be a place for people who want to argue over these things, sure. I see responses say simply say that "if you don't like political blogs, don't click on it". I agree with that sentiment. However, politics is so divisive that permeates other blogs, especially when a blogger identifies another blogger with disenting opinions in an entirely different blog that is unrelated to politics. To say this doesn't happen is a complete fabrication of the truth.
I prefer not to participate in political blogs, that is not why I am here and not the basis of purpose of this site. Yes please feel free to blog about politics in the specific sphere reserved for it, but not allow that to intersect with other spheres and what the majority of us are here for.

^not true. If you devalue the anti-Trump point of view somewhat, you get good news. You just got to think critically.
And some of the Trump criticism is true, especially about COVID.
Since you asked. You commentary is mostly stupid and hateful. I myself can certainly live without it.

Since you asked. Your commentary on these blogs is mostly stupid and hateful. This would be a better place without it.

Nightrider...
How often do you seen anything about international news unless it is about Covid?
Did you read much about the Sudan normalization?
Yeah ...I'm advocating more entertainment (1), sex, entertainment, sex..... GO BACK TO (1)....
Israel and Sunni Muslim nations have been slowly working towards normalizing relations for years due to the threat of Iran.
These peace treaties aren’t as revolutionary as they seem.
I like reading these political comments from the HX guys, since they
are probably more honest since we don't know who they really are.
It's entertaining. I see levels of stupidity here that boggle the mind.
These peace treaties aren’t as revolutionary as they seem.
But nothing like this happened under Obama....
Damn you are one wet fucking blanket.....if Trump cured cancer, you would be pissed that cancer was being treated poorly.....
@nightrider. I do think critically, this why I know what is mostly rhetoric is what is being touted as truth for both sides in these blogs. Propaganda is propaganda regardless of what side of you are on.
^Trump is all smoke and mirrors. That’s what he has done his whole life. And half of Americans have fallen for it, like the emperor in the emperor’s new clothes tale.
That was for jazz.
Trump accomplished more in 4 years than Obama did in 8.....live with it....and you will also get to live with 4 more years.....hope your head doesn't explode....
And jazz, don’t be a hypocrite. I’ve never seen you post anything positive about Obama. At least I’ve commended Trump for his Operation Warp Speed.
Obamacare cost me thousands of dollars...so I am a little bitter about what he 'accomplished'.
He signed a terrible 'treaty' with Iran, did nothing to deal with China and did not encourage U.S. companies from shipping off jobs to China.

Not happy with some of what Obama did, but Trump’s poor federal public health response to COVID outweighs everything Obama did wrong.
“Trump is all smoke and mirrors”
See NR... it’s statements like that that display your unwillingness to recognize ANYTHING good about the other side.
Does Trump overhype things... absolutely. But “ALL” smoke and mirrors?
You give him all of the blame for COVID and the negative things that have happened... but give him Zero credit for any of the positives.
That is pretty fucked up thinking.
^Ok. Mostly smoke and mirrors is more accurate. Operation Warp Speed may end up working out well.
The worst part of all of this is, who can you trust?
Everyone just shouts at each other, no one is having a conversation anymore.
Politics is like professional sports now, I WANT MY SIDE TO WIN NO MATTER WHAT!!
I fear that, as a country, we are travelling down a very dangerous path. Look at the other countries that have voting destabilization and calling the vote into question. Is that a place you want to live?
I dont know what it means but its not going to be good and I feel that the worst is yet to come.
^ that's nice...
So COVID seems to be the DEMs main complaint about Trump but your saying a vaccine development might pan out well.
@KS. I really think that my distaste for Trump has been amplified tremendously by his lousy COVID response. A new paper just came out that highlighted had the federal response been stronger, many more lives would have saved. To me, no issue is more important than life and health. Period. So that's where my disdain for Trump comes from.
Sure, COVID would have been difficult for any President, as the second wave in Europe demonstrates. We may have lost 100,000 lives by now. But our numbers are much higher because of poor leadership, and I blame Trump and frankly hate him for it.
"So COVID seems to be the DEMs main complaint about Trump but your saying a vaccine development might pan out well."
After an unnecessarily loss in life. You can have a strong public health response as well as Operation Warp Speed.
Being republican used to mean being on the right side. It is wrong when the country looks like a train wreck and the Trumpians are acting like everything is going well and shoveling the bullshit koolaid down people’s throat. I am not having it.
I rather enjoy the HX entertainment, but this Trumpshit needs to end.
They are a waste of time. If you notice it’s the same fee people monopolizing the conversations and jamming their opinions down everyone’s throats.

We could have lost 2 MILLION by now which was original estimates.
I dont know where people come from when saying we should only have 100,00 now especially when people get classified as a COVID death just because they died from other causes but tested positive for COVID while in the hospital.
@SSL
I already voted and am heading out to my uncles house out by Kingman AZ in a few days.
Going to hunker down outside the city center, possibly until sometime next year.
We will have plenty of shotguns and frozen foods of various kinds.
With all the isolation, maybe Ill be able to get some quality time with Cyberpunk 2077. (if it releases)

"We could have lost 2 MILLION by now which was original estimates.
I dont know where people come from when saying we should only have 100,00 now especially when people get classified as a COVID death just because they died from other causes but tested positive for COVID while in the hospital."
This is misinformation. First of all, the original estimate of 2 million was if we did absolutely NOTHING, which was never going to happen, so it's a false estimate based on that.
Secondly, it's not true that people get classified as a COVID death when they died from something else. People often die of COVID-related illnesses like ARDS or pneumonia, but those are secondary illnesses due to COVID. When people who die who die of COVID have preexisting conditions, they wouldn't have died if not for the COVID, so COVID is still a cause of death. Both COVID and whatever underlying conditions that may have had that COVID exacerbated that led to death are mentioned when filling out cause of death anyways.
At the risk of repeating the story for what seems like the umpteenth millionth time...
Thank god our president actually shut travel down and prevented 2 million from being a reality while the left called him racist and xenophobic and Nancy walked about Chinatown.
I'm done talking about this

Bullshit!

If there are so many political blogs making HX's Top10, it indicates interest in the subject.
HX blogs weren't necessarily supposed to be about escapism. People always talked about current events, like when a celebrity died, etc. Reading that is certainly not escapism, but sad reality.
About 10-15 years ago, on online articles, the subjects that would get the most amount of discussion was anything on race. Now, it's politics.

I’m not. There is an escape of accountability and a quickness to blame others in this administration like we’ve never seen before. Images grumble and complain about how past administrations f’up and deal with things, but now there is an actual body count and a distortion of facts that seem to come from a parallel universe. And the line must be drawn and bullshitters held accountable.
That, and I really need a bj from a great looking girl to unwind some stress.

It amazes me that the geniuses that barely finished high school think they know more than the infectious disease experts.

Sadly Politics is one of the Only things that are Allowed to be blogged about in RA! SMFH 🙄 That's why you can't compare it to years past. I'm sure the majority didn't join this site to look at Political Blogs! 🤷🏻♀️
Or maybe those are the guys who buy Playboy magazine for the articles? 😂
I’m as guilty as the next guy. But with that said, I wish there were more blogs about BJs and less about politics.
One plus here is that people disagree and state their opinions quite forcibly and often quite well. Go to other sites and everyone agrees.
^ agreed
