Especially since Dave Roberts made all the wrong moves.
Handling 7 pitchers limiting the Rays to one run. All his fault

|
I think the conversation will center on the TB manager prematurely removing a guy who was all but untouchable. Changed the whole game instantly

I would love to give Urias part of that. But sure, Corey works.

Now off topic
Please please please get rid of Jansen my heart cannot take it.
|
|
They can move him to a set up roll. Urias is going to atart every 5th day and close in between.
Haha. I wish.

Yes Jansen is Roberts pet project. Get rid of both!

Four years ago Jansen was good. Since then not so much.
If you need to blame the manager for the loses why not give him credit for the wins ?
The Ray's went 40-20 in the regular season.
The Dodgers played their first game at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before 78,672 fans on April 18, 1958. The Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants, 6-5. The Dodgers would play four seasons at the Coliseum.
We had season tickets for a long time.

Hold your breath until that happens

Dodgers and Lakers!!ππππ
LA City of Champions!!
|
|
Congratulations and thanks to the BUMS! Their 6th title in my lifetime.

The Dodgers and Lakers championships count, but they won't mean much if they don't repeat or win again in the next few years. And I mean that in the hearts of most fans of both sports. They'll be forgotten by everyone except Dodger and Laker fans.
I thought that was going to be the case with the San Antonio Spurs when they won their first NBA championship in the strike-shorten 98-99 season -- but they went on to win 3 more championships within the next 8 years.

In many ways this year was much more challenging than a regular full season. Covid 19, the bubble, separation from family, friends. No fans to cheer you on. Constant testing. Playing key games in unfamiliar ball parks and arena. Issues of racial injustice and the cancellation of games. The distraction this caused.
In many ways these championships actually mean more and count for more than a regular year. Congratulations Lakers and Dodgers.

^^^ Agree 100%

I agree 100% as well. I put myself in their shoes, and I feel the motivation factor alone had to be a challenge, given the circumstances. But a lot of individuals have put aside all sports in 2020 β including some athletes who have opted out of their respective sports for the season. While you have to give the Lakers and Dodgers their props for persevering, many of have considered 2020 a wash β not just in sports! Everyoneβs eyeing 2021 and (hopefully) a fresh start.

How many Dodger fans here were praying that Roberts wouldn't go to Kenley Jansen to "pitch" the 9th Inning?
Jansen is now "unreliable", maybe can pitch some middle innings for an "also ran" team. He doesn't even seem concerned that he is giving up homers to left, right and center and blowing leads, saves and games.
|
|
Next year is Jansen final year of contract. He will get paid 20 million. They wont release him, wont trade him either. They're stuck with him. Treinen is a free agent and he has an injury history. Hes not reliable. But the MVP of last night's game was kevin cash. Snell was dominant, only threw 73 pitches and gave up 2 hits. The Dodgers cant hit left handers for some reason. But Cash gave them a big assist.
