no country has shovelled more money to hospitals than America...the hospitals were under severe financial pressure with the lack of surgeries and other procedures they count on to make the money they need to make...all of the sudden that was shut down.
what's the extent of it? we don't know. there were two deadlines for the "high impact funding" of covid patients...and testing to qualify for covid bonuses was not required until SEPT 1st....all that was needed was doctor diag or statement on death certificate to qualify for the bonus...which was needed to hospital survival in most cases.
I'm sure this type of thing impacts our bad 2.8% number...I'm sure America's overall health/fitness comes into play.
besides the bad decisions with the nursing homes...not acknowledging any of these things to make trump look bad when bringing up death charts is disingenuous

The COVID deaths estimate is backed up by an analysis of deaths that occur this year since March versus the average of deaths from the past few years during the same time frame. If anything, deaths are being underestimated.

You combine that with the fact that hospital Administrators are greedy as fuck and set the protocol Dr's need to follow and can understand why people get COVID attached to death and sick visits regardless of the doctors opinion.

These deaths are known as excess deaths, deaths due to the pandemic.
