I haven't seen this much outpouring of united patriotism since the end of the 1st Gulf War in 1991.

These things are so hard to read. Itโs like the protests...
In my cities... where I live and work....
Populations of 34,000 and 210,000...
During the protests... at their height... near home had 500-700 out of 34,000 residents
Near work... 1500-2000 out of 210,000 residents.
How representative is that actually of the surrounding population?
It seems like the LOUDER your voice is... the more weight it โfeelsโ like it carries.... but is that true?
I guess after tomorrow.... we will see.

I'm not sure I'd call it patriotism as much as I'd say that the nation is completely divided and polarized.
The country is essentially a nation of centrists yet the candidates keep getting further and further left or right.
I just can't figure out how the hell we got here.

Biden campaign is supposedly up double digits yet they just scheduled a rally for tomorrow, election day, sending Kamala to Michigan. That's not a sign of a confident campaign. Joke biden numbers are imploding with older voters, minorities and young voters.

"The country is essentially a nation of centrists yet the candidates keep getting further and further left or right.

Television media and social media.
"Americas cavernous partisan divides are often attributed to echo chambers or patterns of information sharing that reinforce preexisting political beliefs by limiting exposure to opposing political views. Concern about selective exposure to information and political polarization has increased in the age of social media. The vast majority of Americans now visit a social media site at least once each day, and a rapidly growing number of them list social media as their primary source of news. Despite initial optimism that social media might enable people to consume more heterogeneous sources of information about current events, there is growing concern that such forums exacerbate political polarization because of social network homophily, or the well-documented tendency of people to form social network ties to those who are similar to themselves."
