The way you worded it.... IT IS EXACTLY WHAT TRUMP WOULD SAY.
“I will become a president whether you voted for me or not...”
English syntax is difficult. You almost got it! But being a little off changes the meaning. You might be better off actually quoting the President elect rather than trying to relay an idea in your own words.
What Biden actually said was:
‘My responsibility as president will be to represent the whole nation. And I want you to know that I will work as hard for those who voted against me as for those who voted for me.”
As you all know, I am not a Biden supporter because of policy differences. But I will say this, his tone and sentiment are refreshing. I hope he can keep it. President Obama started out with a similar tone, but as the politics became more divisive... his tone became less conciliatory. Trump was always self-aggrandizing and abrasive to the other side.
So.... good job Joe. I think you are saying the right things.

KS - if more conservatives talked like you, I think the nation would be in better place. Leadership matters, and Trump’s leadership is divisive. That is never healthy for any society. It’s going to take a lot of time and effort to fix what he broke.
