It's too bad about the Uber one. I guess people like being slaves.
Ubers argument was "the drivers are not a core part of the business" - LoL Wut?
Prop 19 - I agree with this one. If mammy and pappy left you a house and you rent it out for market rate or airbnb it, you should not get to pay pappy's prop 13 tax rate.

Zeros...
The majority of Uber and Lyft drivers are truly part time. They are supplementing their incomes, earning a little extra cash for something they might not get otherwise, retired people who are adding some income and get out of the house. Over the past year or so, I have asked every Uber and Lyft driver whether they are doing it part time or full time. I have only had one person say full time....

I preferred Prop 15 to Prop 19.

The only person I know that was a No on the Uber one was my lazy ass cousin. He does Uber full time cuz he’s no good at anything else and he would love the chance to just sit around doing nothing while Uber pays him.

I still think their argument was absurd.
If no one drove for Uber, they would not have a business.
Fun Fact! Every Uber ride is subsidized by VC money! Uber makes no money!

I preferred Prop 15 to Prop 19.
Idiot kit car guy!. Taxing commercial properties is a killer for small businesses.
Landlords will raise rent from renters. You will pay more rent on your apartment,
that's if you're not living with momma still..

You do know Uber’s ultimate business plan is built around driverless cars. They are just trying to hang on long enough to allow the technology to be perfected and accepted. So their long term model is not built around drivers.
Having to hire drivers as employees destroys the current model. It has never been profitable. Increasing the overhead increases the rider cost to point it is no longer an attractive option. I took an Uber for the first time in a year yesterday in Vegas. The ride, which used cost me less than 20.00 cost 32 yesterday (without tip). Not a big deal because I only ride occasionally. But if I had to do that regularly, I’d just rent a car.

It's great if you go out for dinner & drinks or a concert, or dropping your car off for service.

Prop 15 was garbage
The cost of everything would go up, some small businesses would go BK due to triple net leases.
And, the money was not earmarked, Sacramento could have used it for anything
Like paying higher salaries and pensions to government workers.
Fuck that!
Prop 19 was CA Realtor Assn. ployto generate more RE sales, lol
What is it with some of you who think an unending increased stream of tax money to Sacramento is the answer?

Wtf is up with you and Uber, zeros?
I'd have thought you'd love it that the vc's are eating shit on this
And, as far as I've heard, Lyft does not carry the same baggage as Uber but got fucked anyway
I thought the Props went well, Californians basically said fuck off to Sacramento

“It's great if you go out for dinner & drinks or a concert, or dropping your car off for service.”
That’s pretty much how I use it. I always take it from the car dealer rather than wait for the shuttle.

Well, I hope these "VC's" being talked about aren't the ones who we fought back in that "crazy Asian war," cuz my PTSD just buzzed to a new level of looking out for booby traps in my own kitchen...

Latest news is that 15 went down. Good thing.
It does not matter how much is paid in taxes. Politicians need more.
Once they get it they spend like drunken sailors.

Lyft is cheaper.
Uber gave drivers the ability to set the surge rate to the riders. Plus drivers in Cal. get to see where your going br they accept your trip. Why as a rider you maybe getting cancelled on more times than using Lyft.
As it stands of this post
Uber better for drivers.
Lyft better for Riders.

Jesus people you know what you are signing up for when you drive for uber. If you dont like it then dont do it. Guess what if no one drove for uber theyd have to change their business model or go out of business. But enough people want to do it as it was intended so if ubers operation methods dont work for you then i suggest you find a job that does.

Wtf is up with you and Uber, zeros?
Because Uber is a shit company with a shitty corporate environment and Travis Kalanick is a shitty person that deserves to be run over by a Uber.
Fuck him and that company. but I do hope they bleed their VC's dry in the mean time.
