mitch probably likes Biden more than trump...I hear he will have a no-fly zone on a few possibles
if he goes full obstruction...the voters will change the makeup in '22
manchin is coming out and saying he won't be for packing courts and simple majority rules...let's see what he says after january 5th when a REAL opportunity might be presenting itself

having the runoff in a few months for senate control will also dictate a little, how hard mitch can go...with much more impact than '22

I think Garcetti will become DOT Secretary and then run for the Feinstein seat in 2024. If Biden actually serves two terms (highly doubtful but who knows) that he will make a Presidential run in 2028 unless the field clears out for Kamala.
The Republicans will go after 2-3 of the Biden cabinet appointees, focusing on opposing those that would appeal to the base. No way that Romney, Collins, Murkowski or Sasse would buy into a complete obstructionist strategy.

Michéle Flournoy is gonna be Sec Def. She is the real deal. General Mattis asked her to be his #2 and she declined but has indicated she would serve the Biden Administration.
If she is any indication, Democrats are not running for the fringes as hard as the media would have you believe.
Garcetti is a waste of space. No way he gets a position of prominence. No way he wins a Senate seat. He is responsible for $500,000 a pop homeless rooms -- literally $500,000 a room spent converting old motel rooms to efficiency housing for the the homeless. If I can build 700 square foot to 900 square foot units from the ground up for $200,000 to $300,000 including soft costs.... somebody got rich on Garcetti's deal.

@USB - Absolutely true. Gore was NEVER ahead in Florida. The initial totals were ~+1700 Bush and the final tally was +537 for Bush and I think it was around +327 at one time. Now, if the Republicans had agreed to a fair, statewide recount of all votes - undervotes and overvotes - it certainly appears that Gore would have won.

There’s bound to be a lot of movement in California filling the many of the 4K plus positions in a new administration. It’s going to be interesting to see who Gavin picks to replace Kamala. I saw somewhere that Garcia from Long Beach might be a contender. He checks a lot of boxes that are important these days.

Biden wants to continue deficit spending by shutting down the country for 6 weeks and paying people to stay home. How much he gonna pay me though? This geezer won't do anything different on covid than whats already been done. Other than open up the borders in the middle of a pandemic and raise taxes.

|
Biden didn't say that, one of his covid advisors did.
