Did you see his appearance on TV? He looks like he just aged another 10 years. I think Biden shouldn't make any backroom deal with Trump on tax evasion, Russiagate, Trump's involvement in Ukraine. Once Biden is President, those Ukrainians will absolutely turn over the evidence on the quid pro quo Trump committed on withholding aides for info.
I think Trump's whole fraudulent empire will come to a screeching halt. His denial of Covid isn't really about the health of Americans. Its also prolonging his time in office so he can defer his debts and interests on those debts. Who's going to ask the President of the United States to pay back loans and debts he owes? But when Trump is not the president anymore, the floodgates open. We will see how big of a fraud he is and what kind of a criminal he is.

When an election's decided has nothing to do with when a losing candidate concedes. It's when there's no statistical possibility of the loser overcoming the winner's vote lead. Trump reached that point over a week ago. If Trump doesn't want to leave on January 20, SWAT will take him out. Actually, I'd love to see a live broadcast of that. So go ahead, loser. Make my day.

With all this disinformation floating around about the rigged Presidential election, it seems that the Dems should take two actions: 1) refuse to sit Republicans that won House seats and were behind in the polls before election day. How they fuck did they win if Trump lost. Must have been rigged; 2) push the Maine legislature to overturn the reelection of Susan Collins and the North Carolina governor to investigate the reelection of Tillis. Again, how the fuck did Collins and Tillis win if the election was fair. Don't say because it wasn't rigged in those state. Bullshit.

And Trump knows that he has no chance of overturning the election results. I think he is focused on:
1) Can the Trump Organization be saved. With the coming collapse of commercial real estate, the viability of the Trump Organization is questionable. Of course, a President operating a business out of the White House is patently illegal but that never stopped Trump.
2) Weighing the options of $50-70M annual deal from Fox to host a trice weekly show or set up Trump TV as a streaming service. I think Trump TV does $150-250M in revenue with very little overhead. Life will be good to DJT after his ouster assuming he can hold off any criminal lawsuits.

I don't believe that Trump will ever formally concede the election. He will depart for Mar-O-Lago around Christmas and never return to DC. He ain't going to the inauguration of President Biden. He will say stuff like he is no longer President because the election was stolen, rigged, etc. He desperately needs this theme for his TV show and as a rallying point for a potential run in 2024. What energizes the Trump base more than anything else is victimization themes. That don't want to hear about economic policy, COVID-19 but the stolen election justifies their victimization persona. And if you tie the election rigging to a bunch of hard leftists, such as Joe Biden (lol), so much the better. That is what the last week has been about folks.
The final Electoral College results will be 306 Biden to 232 Trump, the exact same results as 2016, just reversed (I guess the election riggers really wanted to strike a raw nerve with Trump). The vote tally will probably have Biden ahead by 4.5 points and 8 million votes. Now Trump called his electoral college victory in 2016 a landslide so I guess Biden also won in a landslide (another reason why the Trump complaints are ridiculous). Still, I was a bit puzzled that the election was as close as it was. Lo and behold, a recent analysis of voting data provides a partial answer. 40% of Trumps vote total was tied to White evangelicals. While evangelicals are only 15% of the population but can out in massive droves for Trump so they account for almost 50% of his vote.

I am concerned that a man who clearly shows autocratic traits (a cult of personality, strongman attitude, hyper-masculinity) has had so much success in our democratic system. I'm just glad that we have elected a more traditional American politician with Joe Biden.
Democracies in the past have repeatedly devolved into dictatorships.
It is only that our military and the rest of our government believes in the constitution and the laws that we have successfully pushed back against Trump's autocratic tendencies. For example, our election results will be fine because the government believes in following facts and the constitution, no matter what Donald Trump says or thinks.
Trump's presidency may have paved the way for repeated strongmen-types to further test our government's allegiance to the constitution and laws. Who knows if that allegiance will ever be worn down enough to fully break?
