Actually I've never smelled napalm. People think I'm strange because I love the smell of burnt nitro-methane from top fuel disasters, I actually stand behind the car and take deep breaths.

I've stood behind running fighter jets idling and didn't smell or hear anything because the noise comes from the intake.
