*John Lennon
This is the 40th anniversary of his murder in NYC.

Imagine is a crap song, lyrics totally banal
His girl friend is talentless
But nobody should go out like that
RIP
Seriously, read this crap....tell me it's not some knuckleheaded Progressive garbage
"Imagine all the people living life in peace"
Trumpys vs. Non-Trumpys living in peace?
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

We need more John Lennon and fewer Donald Trumps.

He sang to something deep within us, touching those who would stop to really listen. Are we beasts or angels? He sang to the angel. Religious, spiritual or whatever name you give it. All gods children. Imagine that.

One of each is more than enough
If she knew back then what she knew now (if she were alive)
You think she would have aborted him with a dirty coat hanger?
Talking about Mary Anne Macleod not Julia Stanley

Don60 must have missed the "no religion" part, TOSser
No religion = no God = no God clones
Imagine that

John Lennon was a lot more than just "Imagine."

Jah Lennon, preaching about oppression from an expensive ass central park condo.
Yeah, tell me about no possessions, bitch!

I remember the day. It was awful. And within a week, I was also dumped by my girlfriend. And it was in the run-up to finals week. I'll never forget any of it.
As for "Imagine", I look at the first verse somewhat differently than others do. "Imagine there's no heaven," it says. But to "imagine" something says to me you are visualizing a situation that doesn't actually exist. So isn't John implicitly admitting there there IS a heaven? Just a thought.

He got the idea for that song from Forrest Gump...That's what I heard anyway.

Lennon over rated!

^not surprised you would have that opinion.

Leave it to NoBallsCreep to ridicule a classic like Imagine.
John's death was traumatizing. I'd waited 5 years for his return, his voice cut through everything else on the radio with "Starting Over." And then it was over because of some asshole.

^^ MY POINT
It's a Kool Aid & Bullshit cocktail mix wth some moral outrage as a garnish
Most who like the song lyrics are drunk on it
Why can't we all just get along.............................................SonOfAnal?

Easy night rider gay banger, the Beatles were great, Lennon solo, not so much..
|
|
By no religion he meant the divisive way some religions treat others of different faiths. He just saw religion differently.
A great love song of John’s : In my life.

|
^ what a twat, lol
I grew up on the Beatles, still got their albums
But, Imagine is trite and banal.......to me
I like plenty of other Lennon songs
And, Yoko should've stuck with the visual arts
She was a horrible musician and couldn't sing a lick
That's reality, just deal with it, bruv
