Trump just keeps giving more options to bring himself low. Something will stick.

Any state that arrest him is fairly dumb. For one he will be protected by secret service, so those officers will have to fight them first, then this will greatly enrage Trump supporters which are in the 10's of millions. These same Trump supporters will see Biden as illegitimate and you then turn around and arrest Trump..

Well... any arrest of an ex-president would be negotiated. It wouldn’t be like on First 48 when the warrant squad shows up.
LOL at the idea that local/state police would have to get through the secret service to get to him.
They would file charges, contact his attorneys and reach an agreement as to when and where he would surrender to be booked.
But the chances of any of that happening are slim and none.
The only thing that might happen are his tax issues.... and those will either be argued away.... or settled with a financial penalty.

No, my NY buddy isn’t going to be chosen. Stupid shit we did when we were out of college and he got his head together and joined the armed forces, then law enforcement.
But the powers that be want the department squeaky clean when the call to haul Trump in comes done.

In short, the state of New York wants Trump bad.
They are getting ready to pounce when he is out of office.

The process will be to serve him the official papers for what will ultimately be a fraud/RICO case for starters. Eventually, an entire group of litigation in NY will be wrapped into one massive case.
He will not be arrested, as much fun as that would be to watch on live TV.
NY is prepared to panel a grand jury right away, if not already. It will seek a quick indictment, but Trump will be given wide clearance for his personal freedom and no judge will consider him a flight risk. He may decamp at Mar-a-lago where he can be away from the scrutiny of NYC investigators and the media.
The big question is what law firm would take him as a client. Dozens of law offices turned him down in his many voting fraud suits. He has the money to pay a top-notch firm, but many will decide it's not worth the time and trouble.
