Especially if you work, post, blog about it. Making other people think it is ok, or spreading lies that maybe there is a way to lower the risk or be safer. Then the virus spreads.

If covid-19 is not airborne , then how is it a respiratory virus , which causes people to be infected through coughing, sneezing and mucus? I'm so confused.

The whole airborne thing is still under investigation. The virus is spread when someone coughs or sneezes the droplets of virus from the cough or sneeze for out in the air and hang there and slowing fall to the ground from gravity. So it is airborne that way. What they just recent found out this weekend is that the virus could also be transmitted by talking or breathing? Click the first link below for info.

@Cat - im not really buying into the airborne theory right now either, I'm confused as well. Like if it's airborne and you're only telling people they can dwell in a 10 person or less space, as long as they're 6ft apart....what if I sneeze and you so happen to walk into that area when I walk away? Does that just make it disappear? This whole thing STINKS!

This virus is just too new. Even the so called experts are disagreeing on the definition of airborne in this case. Originally, mask were for the sick and medical professionals. Now, it's suggested we all wear some type of mask in public to help stop the spread.

@Cat it a novel virus so as doctors treat patients they are gathering information and sharing it with each other. They are learning as this situation goes along. For instance, they learned last week that many people who were positive for the virus temporarily lost their sense of taste and smell. They are investigating the airborne information and think it maybe spread earlier than just by cough and sneeze because of how fast the virus spreads.

YES it is airborne
the isolation that we are doing now is not to STOP the virus, butt just to slow it down
