If we can buy vaccines for pets to do at home.
We should be able to vaccine ourselves.
If this method of microneedling/10 minutes
It will take 2 years to administer!
|
|
It will still take at least a year to complete the clinical trials and receive FDA approval.
The lead researcher said they won't even start the trials for several months.

Maybe faster than normal
In desperate situations ?
|
|
Faster does not mean safer, and the results are often fatal if not damaging.

saw this on the news last night. they hope it will work as well for us as it did for the mice

It's not a vaccine, it's a blood test that can see if you have built up any antibodies for the coronavirus. It's the best way to know right now, short of one of the tests which seem to be impossible to get (thank your fucking president).
I had dozens of blood tests when I had a strange reaction to a very hearty flu 25 years ago. It's a way to see if the immune system has responded to a virus, and the coronavirus has a unique imprint.
But these tests would require FDA approval. A rush job on an OK would be great help.

^ It IS a vaccine.
There are so many people working on things right now, including rapid tests and tests to see if you have the antibodies.
But what Gina said is correct. It is a vaccine.

Making a vaccine is a easy part, that can be done within days from isolating and blueprinting a virus.
Validation is what takes the longest. Laboratory mice, which has been bred and modified to be close to human genome is simply 1 data point. Humans vary based on race, health, diet, environment, etc...so the vaccine needs to be tested on a wide range of subjects, both in placebo and actual conditions with a high level of certainty.
If a vaccine is released without a complete and thorough validation, it could actually make the situation worse and make us more susceptible to the virus (or worse) , which has happened in the past.
I do not know the exact percentage, but almost no vaccine successfully passes a validation the 1st time around, which requires a change and test to be restarted. This is why vaccines for things like SARS, MERS and other nasty aliments out there have never been fully developed....remember Ebola, I think I remember reading late last year that the vaccine for that is just now nearing completion and they been going at it since the outbreak in Africa years ago.
Most likely, there will be a treatment before a vaccine. Our risk is if the virus mutates into something more serious....which is why containment is important. Less spread, less chance of mutation. This is the primary reason why we are going through this bullshit....right now, all we are doing is damage control.

Gina - you seem like a nice person butt you are far from smart and a lot of what you post could be harmful to other stupid people that might believe it
for the good of all I am going to vote to mute you

Yeah that's my understanding also

@oldbaldy
You are right. There are several here guilty of posting inaccurate information in a very serious time. Not sure of their true motivation but in times of confusion and fear, it is a dangerous thing to do.
I am not one to engage here but will try to interject in times like this based on my background and what I do for living.
Stay safe everyone.

I am NOT in the medical industry
I am NOT a conspiracy guy
I am NOT an anti-vaxxer
I've had some you're never even heard of for travel to various parts of the world
But, is it possible that certain vaccinations make some populations more susceptible to pandemics?
Is that a part of what happened in Italy?
Watch and you be the judge
I'm not saying i agree with this information, but.....
it should possibly be part of the discussion going forward.

You should have stopped at “I’m not a medical person.” Just stopped there...
|
|
I would imagine that the more immunizations a person gets, the better his immune response would be to a new previously unseen insult
butt I can also imagine a vaccine that would make your cock fall off
we should be working off of facts and not speculation
on the other hand, blogs really are just for fucking around...
|
|
3 words that should never follow in succession are "cock", "fall", "off".
|
|
Yeah, its way better being a Covidiot.
Why would anybody want info relevant to a pandemic
That's just crazy talk
