People built the world we live in. They aren’t the sickness... they are the cure.
People created the systems we all enjoy. (Transportation, grocery, healthcare, entertainment etc...)
Without people... you would be scrounging to eat the beetles under a fallen, rotted out tree, while sticking leaves up your cooter and trying not to be eaten by a bear.
Sure... we have done some damage.... but I would say much more good.
But I guess it’s easy to think people are the virus as you sit in your favorite chair, while using your smart phone to go on the internet to buy hand sanitizer and a face mask that might help to protect you from a virus that started in an animal... that Doctors and researchers are using amazing equipment to diagnose and develop a cure/treatment while eating your tortilla chips that were made in Utah, dipping them in guacamole made from avocados from Mexico that sits in a bowl that was made in China.
All those people that make my life better are the worst!

The virus is definitely the enemy. You would think so if you were in the ICU on a vent because your lungs were filled with fluid. Ask Boris Johnson if he thinks that SARS COV2 is a threat right now. (You can't, he's in the ICU because his lungs are filling with fluid.)

"Mother earth" our home does command respect but not because it is a thinking, living being; it's not. It's a complex robust ecology of life forms that have survived seven mass extinctions including being frozen over, seas of boiling lava and pelted with no less than four planet shaking rocks. What's doom for one group of life is opportunity for another.
The earth really doesn't care how much you trash it; you'll just end up making your own miserable but at the same time other things will just move in and adapt. Maybe nothing like what you are used to but that's how things go on this tiny blue speck in space.
So no this virus is just a tiny ball of proteins blindly bumbling about until it finds the right kind of cells to infect. This virus like all viruses are really impersonal and opportunistic like all other forms of life on this planet.
We as a whole species on this planet can take this terrible lesson as means to make sure we're prepared for the next pandemic--So we all don't go nuts locked down in isolation coming up with all kinds of crackpot explanations and conspiracy theories.
