Holy shit Gina, $70 for a 1000pc jigsaw puzzle? WTF? I typically pay around $12-$14 for a 1000pc puzzle...and yes, made in the USA And yeah, the stamps are for shit, and don't cut through the backing, so some pieces are typically still together, Don't cheat, separate them. For $70 you'd think the pieces would be perfectly stamped? And yes, attempt. Once you get the border done, and yes do the border first, let me know.
